Only if you don’t want wrinkles.

So why do they ask me then? Why not just put starch on them automatically?
To: Zhang Fei
We don’t have a dry cleaners for miles and miles and miles. They went the way of the knee high panty hose in Walmart. . .just can’t find one.

Starch looks better. No starch feels better. It’s your call.

Starch looks better. No starch feels better. Its your call. And remember: it is better to look good than to feel good, as Billy Crystal once said.

Its a personal dress preference.
However only 100% cotton shirts will starch well.

“So why do they ask me then? Why not just put starch on them automatically?”
Because:
A. Some people don’t like starched shirts ( they tend to look like slobs)
B. Some people buy permanent press shirts (cotton-polyester blends which don’t take starch well), but send them out to be laundered.
To: SamAdams76
starch, starch, and more starch. I dropped my shirts 5 or 6, covered in plastic on hangers while walking back to the car. They stood up in the parking lot.
starch them until they scream.

Havent used a dry cleaner in decades.
Lestoil wash and low heat dryer.
Only thing that gets the grease out.

I’ve been getting no starch on my shirts. It does feel more comfortable wearing shirts with no starch. So just curious on why starch is such a thing.
