There a few tailors in my family, my dad even apprenticed before WWII. Me? I can sew canvas and strapping. Mend stuff etc... I used fix sewing machines for my sisters and mom, but those were old Singers back when they were serviceable.

If you’re trying to avoid water staining, vodka is a poor choice, as it is 60% water. Mix your preferred starch in 100% isopropyl alcohol. DO NOT SMOKE while ironing. No open flames or ignition sources of any type!
Starched clothes look much nicer, but they are not always comfortable attire.

I wear T-shirts ...
I have them lightly starched. That preference is in the POS system, so they always know what I want without asking.
60/40 polyester/cotton. Wear shirts with a slight pattern. If you sweat quite a bit, all cotton will look like hell in a few hours.
I’m a fan of polo shirts, untucked sport shirts, and nice no-collar T-shirts will nice dress pants and business casual pants, or jeans. Same for when I wear shorts. Wore a pair of slacks for the first time this year, except for when I ref volleyball.
