Viva Maduro! The Chicago Teachers Union’s Solidarity Trip To Venezuela
Wirepoints ^ | July 28, 2019 | Mark Glennon

Surely this must be a parody, I thought when I first saw a story on it. A reader here sent me a link to something called FightBack!News. But I read it twice and plenty of other sources confirm it: The Chicago Teachers union has a delegation in Venezuela to show their solidarity with Nicolás Maduro’s socialist regime.

Their goals are “to learn what they could from Venezuela’s Bolivarian Revolution, exchange views on effective education and to show solidarity with the students, teachers and social movements of Venezuela,” says the story.

“Teacher’s Union” = Collection of ill-educated folks who have absolutely no chance of ever getting a real job.

“What about Venezuela’s rampant hunger, disease, childhood mortality, crime and despair that have filled headlines in recent years? Well, yes, there are “issues,” says the blog, but they all stem from American sanctions and meddling. “

Yea, it’s always someone else’s fault when socialism inevitably fails.

Sounds like a good idea in principle.

But instead of a short stay as the pampered and shielded guests of The State, make them take a full year sabbatical, and live on the local economy for the entire time.

It would be quite educational for the survivors.

And slimming, did I mention slimming?

Why are the women crouching ? Assuming the position? Beer bellies on all the males, except for the lone croucher, Jorge, who is willing to service those who are willing.

A few years back, the CTU and some CPS teachers attended and presented at a conference on Marxism held at Northwestern University, and the strike they had had a little before that was touted as a revolutionary movement.

Next year, North Korea?

Why do they have the raised left fist? Why are they allowed to teach in American schools. I don’t respect public education. It is immoral and incompetent.

Of course there are no “gay rights” in Venezuela (or Cuba, or Nicaragua, or Vietnam, or Laos, or Vietnam, or North Korea), but that doesn’t matter. If you’re a Commie, or Black, or Hispanic, or moslem, or “indigenous,” you can be as right wing as all get out, and everyone (including conservatives) will still classify you as leftist. It isn’t about any of those things; it’s about the ritual inversion of traditional chrstianity.

We lived in Claremont Ca 2012-2013 and our next door neighbor was a teacher, he loved socialism, loved Cuba.
