His unsealed indictment of Sunday last goes against a 2007 deal reached between his lawyers and then-US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Alexander Acosta – President Trump’s current US Secretary of Labor. Epstein’s light sentence for sex trafficking of underage girls – 13 months in county jail with trips to his Palm Beach office permitted for business – was granted in exchange for testimony against Wall Street executives connected to the selling of derivative investments comprised of toxic subprime loans.
The very instruments that were responsible for triggering the greatest financial crisis since the Great Depression.

It is very sad to think that a truly evil serial pedophile like Epstein would only be of interest to the American justice system if it was thought that he could somehow be intimidated into implicating President Trump prior to the 2020 election.

I don’t know but I find the whole timing suspect. Could be that IG/ Barr investigations have “been leaked” to people and that is why Epstein was arrested. Something has happened to
stir the pot again that is for sure.
I don’t trust that major people will be held accountable like Clinton’s. In original indictment of Epstein it says “all co-conspirators were given immunity”. Who were they? If immune then are they still immune now?

Immunity isn’t a forever thing, you are not immune forever, so if you commit the crimes after the grant of immunity, you can be prosecuted for those crimes. Also immunity only covers what is known at the time. If more instances can be proven, those are not covered. Immunity is not a forever get out of jail free card.
Just heard Chuck the Schmuck Schumer on the Rush Newsbreak saying that Epstein was a frequent visitor to Mar O Lago and it should be looked into, or something.
That was after he bashed POTUS Trump’s Secretary of Labor.
No mention of Democrat Bill Clinton racking up Frequent Flier Miles on the Lolita Express though.

While Epstein et al should get life sentences, is his arrest not ‘double jeopardy’? I admit that I do not know the specifics of the current charges, nor the specifics of his previous conviction
I know that the UK overturned the 800 year old precedent of ‘double jeopardy’ with the ‘Criminal Justice Act 2003’. While it is only suppose to be in ‘exceptional cases’, just look at Tommy Robinson’s LATEST conviction for filming Mmmuhamedan ‘child groomers’ (read: child rapists and pimps) AFTER their conviction but prior to their sentencing, merely reporting news that was ALREADY in the public domain! He was charged with contempt of court and tried twice. The first conviction was appealed and he won but he was tried again just last week, and lost. ‘Great’ Britain, it sure ain’t anymore!
In Kanaduh, while the precedent of ‘double jeopardy’ remains, our ‘just-us’ system seems to DICTATE laws rather than INTERPRET them so, a conservative is most likely to be tried until he/she is convicted. Yes, I have great faith in the Canadian ‘just-us’ system and politicians, to do whatever they can to destroy any semblance of Judeo-Christian values in this country.

The Dems need to be careful on this one. When dredging a lake of slime as in this case, you never know what you will find. I believe the Dems will get stung on this besides Bubba.

Unfortunately, the same can be said of the ‘Conservative’ Party of Canada. It’s leader, Andrew Scheer, certainly lacks in testicular fortitude, reminding me of an Etruscan shew (the smallest mammal in the world). The only party leader in Canada who does not seem to suffer a lack of testicular fortitude is Maxim Bernier! Unfortunately, he has no chance of leading the country. His party, the People’s Party of Canada, might POSSIBLY gain 3-4 seats in Quebec, but little else.
I do not mention Justin(e) True-dope because ‘little girls’ aren’t equipped with the prime requirement for ‘testicular’ fortitude.
