I like the first one. Especially the density of the smoke contrasting with all the green.

I’m in Southeast. North winds are bringing that smoke down here.

Looks like it should be easily contained and extinguished. How long has it been burning? Think it is related to global warming, or just carelessness? I pick carelessness.

We had a very slight twinge of smoke here in North Idaho about a month ago from Alberta fires burning 600 miles north. Since then, clear air. Keeping fingers crossed this summer is not like the past three or four with choking smoke for weeks on end.

Just think of all of the WEED that is being burned up.
Oh The Horror!

The good side . . . How many tree are there in Alaska?

Wildfires in the dry summer are part of life in any beautiful forest. Are all those houses packed next to each other to stay warm?

Suburban sprawl hits the great north.

Sad and terrible.

Too bad they usually find out after they cover a larger territory and are very hard to extinguish.

I think I read that they had some really bad wildfires in N. California.

I live in mountainous ranch country and fire is a part of the environment. It is not an enemy.

When our pasture burned a few years ago we were conditioned to be upset about it but then the next spring came along and the grasses grew thick and lush and green. It was then we understood that God uses fire to renew nature, not to destroy it.

Everything is blamed on global warming, I just wondered what the person who posted this thought was the cause. 8>)

After all, none of their predictions have even remotely panned out as to their dire predictions, yet many are still convinced it is real. Because emotions rule, and facts be damned.

Yes - all calamities will cease once we pay higher taxes AND surrender our freedom!

Then the smart people will have money and slaves!
