NFL GAME PASS: They're Charging Me Again

Posted on 07/01/2019 6:17:30 PM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Can't believe these clowns. It's not very easy to follow their directions and cancel next year's subscription. Renewal should NEVER be automatic. When I 'followed' their directions to cancel I got no confirmation email. Very sleezy. Anyone else with this problem? The 'contact' button lead me to something else that was stupid. Thanks.

Have your credit card company contest it. ASAP

Read up on Pete Rozelle. He almost singlehandedly turned the NFL into a financial juggernaut.

He's dead now but read up on him nevertheless.

Also, I miss Howard Cosell. Now those were the days.

Dispute the charge with the credit card company, then go to the Game Pass website to your account and remove the credit card number from the site.

“NFL GAME PASS: They’re Charging Me Again”

Sounds like fallout from their taking-a-knee strategy, as they lose customers.

Agree with above, too. Cancel card if needed.

That is about the only way, because either you forget about them or the small print gets you...

I have had issues with NFL Game Pass in the past, mostly they would f up their Roku interface software every preseason and not fix it until Week 2. Of course, no credit was given.

I cancelled mine a few months ago. Haven’t seen a charge yet but I guess I better check.

Haven’t been charged yet. If they did hand gunner types would have been the first to squeal. The gave me the ‘option’ to cancel but it wasn’t that easy. Still no telling until it or if it happens.

Checked my credit cards - no charges yet. Their “new year” is always August 1st so I think they process renewals at that time.

The one I probably used has had to change the card number since last summer so I don’t think I’ll be dinged anyway.

Game Pass is free for a season with Direct TV Sign up and they are very specific about your ability to cancel it somewhere around April 15th or some weird non-football season related date if memory serves me correct. Good luck.

“Automatic renewal” is a curse I’ve fought on several fronts. I think it should be illegal, especially since it’s often buried in the fine print when you sign up for something, and also because the place you need to contact to cancel is not clearly spelt out, or is incorrect, or is in India or Timbuktu.

Yes, a couple years ago so I cancelled it all and just watch youtube and Netflix rarely. Haven’t missed it.

Anyone still subscribing to NFL Gamepass or paying to view any NFL event should understand that you can view any game for FREE, as in FREE BEER, at the NFL streaming subReddit. Same goes for MLB and NBA games.
