A listing of the different types of Conservatives found in America today.

This is a listing of the various types, and sub-classifications of American conservatism today. As one delves deeper, one can clearly see that modern American conservatism comes in many types, shapes and flavors. There is no “one size fits all” American conservative.

Here we discuss 29 different types of American conservative.

The key to the success of any Presidential Conservative candidate or President is to be able to unite all these disparate groups under one singular banner. Is it even possible?

[1] The members of the “conservative movement.”

We start right off, addressing one of the most common themes used in the American mainstream media. That is, being a member of the “Conservative Movement”. This is generally a catch-all phrase that has no real meaning. However, it is useful by progressive liberal Democrats to single out and demonize non-Marxists.

While the mainstream American progressive-liberal media likes to talk about this “Conservative Movement”, most actual conservatives haven’t a clue as to what they are actually referring to. We kind of feel offended that we are so often labeled by the ignorant elites inside the urban centers.

Anyone that doesn’t see that leftwing trolls and poseurs have infiltrated many ostensibly Conservative forums may be one.

Unfortunately, the article about Modern Orthodox Jews imitating the "Conservative movement" has nothing to do with the political movement called conservatism.

In Judaism, the "Conservative Movement" is a left wing heretical form of Judaism that doesn't go quite as far as the so-called "Reform" and "Reconstructionist wings."

That link should be removed as it has nothing to do with the topic being discussed and sends the wrong impression that Rabbi Wein is attacking political conservatism when he is not. He is attacking left wing heresy.

The author may be describing himself when he writes:

“represents the bunk of the FR readership”

This blogtard made specific claims about "trolls" on Free Republic.

So where are the names? Is he scared?

He says they work in shifts so he must have some specifics.

Is he scared? Or just full of crap?

Sorry man - just hard to take you seriously when a person sees this

"I was introduced to the reality of the MWI.

For those of you who do not know what that means, it refers to the understanding that there are many different realities; many different world-lines. And, our consciousness occupies one world-line. But, that there are many others; an infinity of different world-lines. As such, I was provided with certain operations and probes (placed within my brain). This enables me to alter my reality; my world-line. Further, I was provided with training that permitted me to do certain tasks associated with my objectives.

Probe insertion and implantation occurred at two facilities. Training was conducted on the base.

Stuff your eyes with wonder . . . live as if you'd drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories.
-RAY BRADBURY, Fahrenheit 451

After training was completed, I was left to live life as a “normal” person. Yet, I was anything BUT “normal”."

And you forgot to mention FR’s most famous early activity, the exposure of Dan Rather’s fraudulent reporting of the National Guard Memo - Freeper ‘Buckhead’ being the first one to demonstrate that it was an exact duplicate of a Microsoft Word document that had been ‘aged’ by multiple passes through a fax machine and/or copier.

Just shows that the community of the “right” has diverse thinking and that we are open to dialogue from one another, and even correction. Unlike the lock step of the left.

Love number 5. The Bush club and its Saudi ass kissing members, like James Baker, fit nicely in here.

Love the bit on neo. And on Trump conservatives. It brings up a good point. I was talking to a fellow who said he is a liberal, thinking governments should stay out of the bedroom and personal lives, but is now horrified about the constant grooming of children by the LGBT community, and the damage done by Tides Canada to Alberta over unreasonable fears about building pipelines. He sees the damage, the unemployment, and told me that there are hundreds if not thousands of train derailments every year, yet we are transporting oil and gas by train.

Since he is not American, maybe I would call Trump conservatism just COMMON SENSE conservatism.

I apologize. I became a Christian under Ronald Reagan. I rewrote and added a section trying to be honest, but also trying not to be so offensive. It reads...

[29] Christian Conservatives

Those that follow the Christian faith tend towards liberalism simply due to the nature of the New Testament. It teaches many things such as forgiveness, charity, being supportive of others, and “turning the other cheek”. Many Conservatives, for right or wrong, have found that in “real life” application, attempts to do this has backfired.

When they try to give a job to a vagrant, they find they they try to rob them. When they gave money to various causes, they found the grifters have stolen most of the money. When they have tried to be kind and forgiving, they have been ridiculed for doing so, then attacked and “stabbed in the back”.

Christian Conservatives are pragmatic followers of the writings of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible.

These aren't really "different types."

They're different labels, with much overlap between labels.

Also, the article mixes the small intellectual cliques or coteries with larger mass categories (sometimes organized, sometimes not).

The little groups and the big ones are almost from different worlds altogether.

The guy does have some interesting insights. "Buckley conservatism died with Buckley": that explains a lot about the disconnect between National Review and other conservatives.

He does have some strange ideas about China, though. How libertarian can China be when they are giving out bonus points for "socially responsible behavior"?
