You left out the fact that King’s message of ‘nonviolent protest’ saved a lot of people from bloodshed while we were working out the logistics of bringing the Black people into full and active citizenship.

Not possible. There were too many in power who wanted to discredit him. If they had proof like this, it would have come out decades ago.
I think we’re talking about FBIs that are separated by many decades.
I think that there are still many people in the FBI who are genuine patriots, and follow the rules. A lot of them - especially some of the higher-ups - don’t.
We need to clean it up - but we can’t do it by emotionally reacting to a politically motivated and contrived article that shows up here. This article is just noise.

Methinks, the celebrated author and MLK historian is sick of white-washing King’s legacy and is going to pen a real MLK book, finally. He has access to loads of fresh material that contradicts most of the image that he has so carefully portrayed of the good Reverend for years.
Let’s see what he does with it. The information is not his exclusively and rivals are likely typing FOIA requests as I write. There’s lots of new stuff.

King did a lot of good work in the world, despite any personal flaws, and I believe that he has gone on to new and ever more enlightened adventures.

The other articles I have read make no mention of President Trump unless it is to reference he signed the JFK doc release in Nov 2017. Two dozen King papers were included in that batch.
If they had something on trump, we’d of already heard it. If they actually had something, the Russian Collusion hoax wouldn’t have been necessary.

People may appear to be ‘gay’, while they are really asexual.
It seems that people project their preconceived notions onto others whose experience they just don’t understand.
A lot of people want others to be exactly like they are; and if the others are not, they don’t understand and can’t just ‘leave alone’.
If they change the street names, we won’t know where to avoid.
