I heard this idiot on the Fox News town hall meeting yesterday. He used as a basis to make the switch (I'm paraphrasing only because I don't have an exact quote): If we are truly going to be a democracy, we should abolish the electoral college and go with the popular vote.

A man running for the presidency doesn't know that our system of government is NOT A DEMOCRACY! It is a democratic republic - and for good reason. Can you imagine a state like California, attracting illegals with drivers licenses, free healthcare, food stamps and other benefits, automatic motor-voter status, the right to vote, sanctuary status and many more stupid things? Its bad enough the democrats control most of the inner cities and their machines produce incredible fake votes, where Philadelphia miraculously has a 109% turnout when Mitt lost to Obama. Just as an example, there were a combined 19, count them NINETEEN ( 1 dash 9 ) precincts where Romney didn't receive a single vote.

What is pushing the democrats to try to abolish the EC, is nothing more than the democrats ability to manufacture votes where they control the ballots (early voting, absentee voting, internet voting, provisional ballots and don't forget the dead voting because they refuse to clean up the voter rolls)
