LONDON (AP) — The leader of Britain's main left-wing opposition party criticized the government Friday for "rolling out the red carpet" for U.S. President Donald Trump's June visit and said he declined an invitation to attend the state dinner in protest.
Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said he would be happy to meet with Trump but thinks "maintaining an important relationship with the United States does not require the pomp and ceremony of a state visit."

I think Mr. Corbyn is going to be highly disappointed in the outcome of the next UK election. Likewise, I doubt that he’ll be surprised at the outcome of some of the investigations into the origin of the “Russia, Russia, Russia” collusion delusion. Most Americans and more than a few Brits, however, will discover that the Brits engaged in far more interference in our electoral process than the Russians; that Christopher Steele isn’t the “former” MI6 officer he was represented to be in the American media; and that the highest levels of the British government were very much aware of what Mr. Steele and his friends were doing.
