VIDEO: "Where The Boys Are" Movie Proves NO Sea Level Rise in Florida

VIDEO

The opening credits of the 1960 film "Where The Boys Are," filmed in 1959, inadvertently proves that despite the hype to the contrary, there has been NO noticeable sea level rise in South Florida. This observation of the aerial shot of the Ft. Lauderdale beaches in that movie as a way to compare to the width of today's beaches was first made several years ago by Brian Craig, co-host of the Steve Kane show on WWNN radio.

This video takes that film clip and compares it with recent aerial photos of the beaches in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Also revealed in this video is the shocking identity of the global warming promoter making the the most absurd claims of them all about supposedly rising sea levels.

I saw the movie in 1959 at a drive in with my parents. I was 7.

I lived in LDBTS when they dredged it. Great shells after that.
Now the bring it in from the center of the state cause the enviromentals cops dont want dredging off shore.

SIXTY year old beach party flick.

And, there is no doubt it was filmed at high tide to mask the rise in sea level! /S

Technically speaking, sea levels rise whenever submarines submerge, tanker ships and barges fill up with another load, and heaven forbid,… when large vessels sink. Depending on how many people are in the water at the beach on any given day… the sea level rises even higher. I’d venture that the greatest amount of sea level rise occurred in the 20th century, what with all the naval battles and numbers of ships sent to the bottom… And then, whenever a low pressure front moves over the ocean, water level rises again.

Then, on the bright side… sea levels decrease when submarines surface and tanker ships and barges unload. If only leftists would ever take a bath, they’d probably learn about water displacement. But don’t hold your breath waiting… instead, pinch your nose closed.

I was raised in Fort Lauderdale. We lived on an ocean access canal.

Every few years there would be a “super tide” and the canal surface would rise over the seawall and put our back yard deck area in 6” to 12” of water.

Just recently someone used video of their “flooded” backyard as “proof” of rising ocean levels due to global warming. They went on to say that they had never seem water that high.

They must not have lived there long, we saw it every 5 years or so.

Dolores Hart was such a cutie! Much prettier than Connie Francis.

If the sea level were really rising then beach replenishment efforts to counter the erosion would have little effect. In fact, much of what is claimed to be rising sea levels is, in reality, simple erosion. Oh, and one reason for the erosion is that dams all over the world are restricting the natural flow of sand/ground that flows out of rivers and into the ocean that become sand to replenish the beaches.

Such a great song! What a songbird. Thanks for the link. A comment on YT by ogstopper three weeks ago: "Drums played by Hal Blaine of the Wrecking Crew. He died yesterday at the age of 90. RIP, sir. Thank you for the music." The Wrecking Crew was everywhere. What a bunch of talented guys - never to be repeated.

Great idea, poorly executed.

The current photos he provides are incomparable to the aerial shots in the movie.

Send up a drone and duplicate the movie opening. Put them side by side. Compare certain roads, bridges, and buildings to the beaches. Normalize for the daily tides. Be thorough. Cut out the first 8 minutes of useless BS.

This has the potential to be awesome. Right now it is very weak and factually unconvincing.

Wasn’t that a great time to be young? Netflix had a wonderful documentary about the Wrecking Crew. Not sure if it’s still there, but if you haven’t seen it, I suggest finding it. Fantastic group of musicians whose catalogue of music is amazing.

Not really. Without multiple beach renourishment projects over the years, there would be no beach. That isn’t beacuase of sea rise, but because of erosion. The barrier islands tend to to move west over time, but development impedes that movement.

I’m more surprised there was a movie called ‘where the boys are’ and it wasn’t about fags.

Yep, according to Al Gore’s “Earth in the Balance” Florida is supposed to be underwater now.

Pssssttt…

Quick... somebody tell Ayok that the reason Florida isn't underwater right now is that all the water went into everyone's backyard swimming pools, leaving the coastline as is!
