John Brennan was nominated to be Director of the CIA by Barack Obama and served as Director from March 2013 to January 2017. Here is a list of former Directors of the CIA. Only a few have been actively political following their tenures, but none has been as rabidly vocal and anti-Trump as John Brennan.
John Brennan has been prognosticating no end over the last two years and has made some pretty serious accusations.
On more than one occasion Brennan called Trump "treasonous."
A month later he sort of backtracked, saying that when he said Trump was treasonous he didn't exactly mean treason:Former CIA director John Brennan blasted President Donald Trump's press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday as 'nothing short of treasonous.'
He also accused the president of being 'wholly in the pocket of Putin.'

He had gotten his tighty whities in a twist when Trump stripped him of his security clearance.In an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press," Brennan reaffirmed his most inflammatory accusation against the president.
"I called his behavior treasonous. I stand very much by that claim," he said. "These are abnormal times ... I have seen the signs blinking red on what Mr. Trump has done and is doing."

Agreed. Brennan constructed and ran a destabilization operation against a US campaign, that initially failed and spilled over into an attempt to destroy the elected President. He used “Russia” as an bogeyman, and Russians specifically, to initiate the plot, provide unprovable lurid details, give it all false legitimacy, and cloak the whole in patriotism. (He also would know that Russia was playing Russian election interference games and used them to make his accusations against Trump seem more plausible). Brennan knew how to introduce intel into the system via Five Eyes and the “Baltic Listening Stations” that the US funds. He knew how to trigger the FBI using “bad information” that I believe he caused to be created. Brennan is the father of all this and he knows it. Hillary might have inspired the scheme, but this has CIA written all over it.
AND the FBI did not verify the information no matter how many times Brennon pulled the trigger. Every one in the chain is dirty from Hillary to McCain To Comey to Obama To the FISA judge.
Trump and the Law must do SOMETHING to them for justice.
To crow about yesterday’s “victory” as others have said is to give legitimacy to the campaign against Trump and his family that has so far failed.
I do not anticipate our domestic enemies to throw in the towel.
I figure they’re going to double down tonight or tomorrow like their god the Fraud taught them to.

Halper, Mifsud, and Nellie Ohr are CIA assets. Steele is ex-MI6. And then there is the curious case of Carter Page, former USN intelligence officer and FBI informant, who was the subject of a FISA warrant. Page was never charged with anything, never hired a lawyer, and expressed no outrage.
Was Page cooperating in this plot? Was he a deep cover CIA agent ala Valerie Plame? Why did the FBI select him to be the subject of a FISA warrant? Patsy or player?
criminals are usually ahead of law enforcement. But the good guys have to be strong. I see no sign that the top criminals will ever go to prison.
I do not like to consider any sworn enemy of the United States and all for which we stand to be a moron or incompetent.
Me either, but I see perhaps a quarter to a third here angrily demanding that there be an appropriate response, and I agree with them.
I’m not going to vote for whatever enemy Rat or their “third party” alternative our domestic enemies run against Trump in 2020.

Hillary is the inspiration behind it all. Since she will skate, I’ll have be satisfied with the lower tier jerks having their lives ruined by their service to her while she laughs at them.
Among my suppositions is that Brennan knew the minds of his team in advance through indirect oral communication via a a non-IC intermediary. He dropped the seeds (i.e., the “electronic document”) into well-prepared soil at the FBI, and let the nature of FBI counter-intelligence procedures take their course. I’m undecided which of the FBI plotters knew from the start that the initiating premise was fake, and they would argue that it doesn’t even matter — their job was to treat it as a serious threat until proven otherwise. The FISA warrant, and the capers against Papadopoulus were necessary so they could force insiders to spill the Russkii beans — Standard FBI corrupt procedure. Some of the tertiary players might have believed it was a legitimate operation. Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Lisa Page, et al, loved Hillary and hated Trump enough that they would be capable of believing almost any accusation against Trump that confirmed their biases. OTOH, your observation about “the FBI not verifying the information” is a good argument that they did know.
