Thanks to John Moses Browning, his iconic 1911 pistol has been giving us pleasure and serving us for over 100 years and still going strong. Modern day 1911 has new features and more calibers which opens this pistol up to even more shooters.
This is not the complete list but a good starter to get a glimpse at some of the best 1911 pistols currently out in the market for the gun community, competitive shooters and the few serving law enforcement.

Son-in-law recently purchased a Dan Wesson Valor to go along with his Springfield Range Officer. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, especially the trigger. He says it shoots as good as it looks and I await my chance to join him at the range.
Kimber
I bought my son one of these ATI 1911’s for $400 incl FFL. It shoots better than I do. Always goes bang. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/75560/ati+firepower+xtreme+gi+1911
Kimber Custom II,
I’ll price it.
Me,
Twin MilSpec 1911’s.
I’m Happy.
The picture is nice. The SR1911 also really looks and feels great with thin Challis Grips (both checkered and smooth).
The genius of the 1911 is in the design. You can dress it up quite a bit, but at heart, it’s a warhorse that you can drag through the mud.
He had more influence on the 20th century than many presidents.
