I think Trump got talked into that erroneous way of thinking by Javanka and, well, Establish GOP hacks like Priebus. E.g., he fell for it when Ryan/Pence/Priebus told him they’d pass the Obamacare repeal, and that was what he should focus on legislatively.

But that has been the greatest source of issues with his presidency. He has corrected some, but he still, for example, has Johnny DeStefano, an RNC hack that Priebus brought in vetting all hires to make sure they aren’t MAGA, but are Swamp instead.

Barr is clearly and obviously a Bush property. Those who have some sources and credibility in alternative news, for example, have said they’ve been told that the envelopes at the Bush funeral were implicit threats. Supposedly the Bush and Trump families came to a deal a couple of days later, which included lots of Bushes coming to reminisce for an extended time at the White House.

Trump himself has implied as much re: his holding his leverage against them for if they choose the MAD route. And indeed, the Mueller investigation is coming to an apparently relatively harmless wind-down just as soon as Barr has got in. The Dems are obviously going after Trump otherwise, but the big Bush powers seem to be pulling back.

What has been reported through these sources is that the Bush sons decided that they didn’t want to take up Poppy’s mantle running a good chunk of the global political mafia, and so they were looking for a way to stand down and spare themselves legal liability (especially W for 9/11).

One would think that AOC would be opposed to this. She wants a living wage for all US citizens (I agree, if they’re willing to work and develop the skills for their job, however lowly). How can there be a living wage if invaders can undermine the wage structure?

“The biggest scam the Bushes pulled was presenting themselves as a “conservative” alternative to Clinton Democrats”

Yeah, the old “Compassionate Conservatism” BS! Actually, as you point out, Clinton was, in several respects, a better President than either of the Booshes. If he hadn’t been crooked, he could have been a decent President. His wife, No Way, but my bet is that she will run again, because she and Slick “made a pact” to both be presidents, and she wants to hold up her end of the bargain.

Thank you so much.

I’ve clashed my vulgarities as the moderator were right, I was out of hand.

I try to realize I’m not at a bar on Staten Island when I type now :)

The voice behind the GOP traitors in the Senate voting against the SOE order.

You are right about Javanka’s malign influence. They’re the strongest leftward pull in the Trump White House. When Trump goes soft on any issue, there’s little doubt in my mind that there’s an Ivanka tantrum going on somewhere in the background.

Party loyalty puts blinders on people.

A lot of people, both the Democrats who love him and Republicans who hate him, forget that Bill Clinton, while sleazy and corrupt, was pragmatic rather than ideological, and basically governed in the same way that a moderate Republican would have governed because that's what the nation wanted and that's what it took to get re-elected. He gave us the same policies, good and bad, that a moderate Republican like Bush or Dole would have given us: on the good side - tax cuts, most of the crime bill, and welfare reform, on the bad side NAFTA, increased foreign aid, the Balkan wars, Somalia etc.

Similarly, party loyalty makes people imagine the Bushes and other establishment Republicans to be more conservative and far better overall than they actually were in practice.

“they will feel my wrath.”

I’ll try. George W Bush is a nice guy. :-P

(I like a savage beating on FR in the morning; no, I am not a fan of the Bushes anymore ... I feel both raped and backstabbed when I think about W)

Jenna and her family interviews are the worst. Just a brag fest about how wonderful they all are and then they cry about it. Not a fan of Jenna.

I like your posting. When can we start a new party at the grassroots level and leave the GOP of today behind? What is stopping Trump supporters from declaring a break from the Republicans and forming this new party? I think it would take off like wildfire if it were to become reality.

“Similarly, party loyalty makes people imagine the Bushes and other establishment Republicans to be more conservative and far better overall than they actually were in practice.”

Hopefully, “party loyalty” is a vanishing element, thanks to President Trump. I have been unsubscribing to the onslaught of requests for donations from the myriad of RNC “front organizations” and candidates who are not national and who are not local to me. I am not being kind in the words I am using in the unsubscribing e-mails. I want the RNC to know, that for me, a new political party replacing them is what I am looking for. When I see just how the GOPe has tried to hobble President Trump, and how despite those, despicable acts, he has still managed to deliver on substantially everything he promised as a candidate, it really pi$$es me off! How the GOPe-”lead” Senate is pack of chicken$hits, half of whom need to be primaried and replaced, have dicked around with “advise and consent.” I just looked yesterday and in the Federal Judiciary alone, there are 183 open seats, and some 120 of them have nominees. So “Bitch” McConnell has a lot of work to do, besides “humming and hawing around” about the “legality” of the declaration of a national emergency. I just hope that the good folks in Kentucky show that scrotum-necked POS “the door” next year. In many respects, Doug Jones and Joe Manchin are more help than more than 25 of the GOPe Senators in doing the people’s work.

maybe I’ll remember later to mail you a story of what one of my sons went through in an H1B shop.

Please post it for all of FR - there are still too many here trying to peddle the free traitor line.

We have tons of legal talent already here. Hire them and pay a fair wage for their skill sets. The Bushites want cheap labor. F them.

Amen!

Bush League Republicans MUST become extinct before the Republic does.

Looking at 2020:

Deserving of re-election: Inhofe, Sullivan, Cotton, Perdue, Risch, Ernst, Cassidy.

Deserving of Cantorization: Gardner, McSally, Daines, Collins, Cornyn, Capito, Enzi, Rounds, Graham, Tillis, Sasse, Hyde-Smith, McConnell.

Any liberal policy ideas come straight from Javanka.
Both should move back to NY and tend to Trump business.
