Trend will continue through 2020 election year. The problem here is that there is no fallback job field for journalists. With the large number looking for employment....employers know that they can reset the pay-scale and force you to take a 20-percent pay-cut.

I assume that whatever Obama era program that fed them money must have finally expired and now, unable to pay their bills without free government money, they have to either get new readers or cut staff dramatically.
