Everything goes in cycles. The excesses of every age bring about social reforms that inevitably become the new excesses. Temperance and then prohibition came out of a society that consumed massive amounts of alcohol.
Everyone remembers the sexually conservative 40s and 50s, but no one remembers the sexual libertines of the 1920s.
Today’s virtue becomes tomorrow’s vice. Thus it has always been.

Putting marriage aside because society accepts your lifstyle that does not include a committment to another.. for life.
I can’t imagine sex anytime with anyone, and it’s part of partying or getting to know someone. Children are born into sngle parent homes, wanted or not wanted. The abortion industry is a big business.. they have gone from killing to selling body parts.
I don’t know if the womwn go home from one of these “acquaintances” and feels like she has been used or whatever. No committment, one nighters, and it’s no wonder there are a lot of mixed up people.
Men look at this differently than womwn do.. and the two do not understand the other.
I don’t know just how it became a loose living lifestyle... but it isn’t making life better.

What the sexual revolution has shown us, by letting us see all the problems that unrestrained sexual expression brings about (homosexuality, abortion, abused children, rape etc etc etc) is that God’s way is the only right way.
We do need to return to a Christian sexual morality for everyone.
Conservative sexual morality depended on a few conditions that don’t exist today. It needed frequent wars with high rates of casualties, so that the men starting the wars and those lucky to survive them could have a large number of mistresses and dependent women around to have sex with, and children with out of wedlock. It required women to have practically no rights financially or politically (read Jane Austen) and it required people to maintain the cognitive dissonance to believe that display of respectability was far more important that actually honoring the principles of that respectability in real life.
