I would suspect that if the House happens to impeach Trump and schedule hearings, (even though it will go no where) that will be enough for the Dems to claim Trump can not nominate a SC judge during impeachment proceedings. In fact, I think this is one of their ploys because they certainly have been made aware of Ginsburgs health and probable death or retirement.
