IN CONGRESS, THE INMATES ARE NOW RUNNING THE ASYLUM
Canada Free Press ^ | 01/06/19 | Jeff Crouere

By doing nothing, Pelosi is really signaling to the American people that she is not in control of her own Democratic Party caucus. In this 116th Congress, it is the inmates that are truly running the asylum

The 116th Congress will be one for the record books, but not in a positive way. Sadly, the United States House of Representatives is now controlled by the Democratic Party for the first time in eight years.

The Republicans lost their grip on power for a variety of reasons including their refusal to enact the agenda endorsed by the American people in the 2016 election. As a result, Democrats have the spotlight and the ability to consider horrible ideas such as the “Green New Deal” proposal being floated by 29-year-old socialist superstar U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). She wants to raise the top income tax rate from 37%to 70% to move the country toward zero carbon emissions. If any of her proposals are ever enacted into law, Venezuela here we come!

Let’s see. The Republicans lost because “their refusal to enact the agenda endorsed by the American people in the 2016 election” yet the people elected new members who would be even more likely to NOT implement that agenda? I don’t think so. Even the partial implementation of the agenda energized the left and that’s why the House fell in dem hands. The writer is skewing the facts.

Hey Schumer, how do you like the new congresswoman from Detroit? I’ll bet your constituents are impressed.

The RINOs had to be purged. Lets hope in ‘18, ridding Trump’s huge coattails, we get a real Republican congress ready to back President MAGA.

I meant to say the election in 2020 not in ‘18.

I don’t know a single Republican voter who is even remotely satisfied with the last Republican controlled congress. They were a disaster who refused to get behind the party’s choice for president and his agenda.

The Republican congress gave their voters little incentive to vote. Just saying.

The 116th congress is going to be epic and entertaining as well. The country may not survive it but it will be entertaining, kinda like the Saw movies.

I thought the 74 Congress was nuts, this one beats that one by a mile. 74 brought us such noteworthy nem members as Waxman, Dodd, Harkin, Spellman, Sobester, Baucus, Hightower, Hughes and Florio from NJ, Ford from Tenn and Obester. They joined Holzman from NY, the Burtons from Cal along with Stark and Dellums, Schroeder from Col; Young from Ga; Absug from NY; Drinan and Stubbs from Mass who were recently elected and a bunch of other lefties who were already there including “I did not ask for that bribe” Murtha from Pa.

We are a different country today. Demographics and culture have changed so much I no longer recognize the country I grew up in. It will be interesting to see how far left the “new” country wants to go.

I happen to agree with the writer’s assessment. Basically the House of Representatives it did nothing for the president and thus they did nothing for the American people. We had such an opportunity controlled all Chambers and the presidency. And they were all United against President Trump.
