I need to drop 26 pounds by my Friday weigh-in in order to reach 220 pounds for a total loss since May of 100 pounds. However, I won't quite get there this time but the good news is that I AM NO LONGER FAT!!!
A few days ago I noticed this new non-fat condition while walking by a full length mirror. A condition that until recently I doubted I would ever be able to obtain after years of trying and failing to lose weight.
Although I won't hit the 100 pound loss by Friday, I am pretty sure it will be happening by the next weigh-in in February. And at that time I will have a YUUUUUUGE announcement.

Well done! Did the low-carb/low-sugar thing too, losing 20 lbs on my 5’7” frame and have kept it off for 18 months, and like you said it’s easy when you eat your way to weight loss. Now it’s simply the way I eat and not some sort of program. I eat pistachios or almonds if I get into a snack mood, and a small serving of yogurt when i get a sweet tooth.
Doctor said if I didn’t do something I was on my way to diabetes. I’m far from that now. 20# was equivalent to two pants sizes on me, now I’m at a 34 (not expanding waistband pants!), I feel great, and wife loves the slim spare tire-free me.
Oh, and my company got me a convertible stand-up desk too, which has been helpful.

But its the damnedest thing, while they are addictive, they dont make you feel better. At least not for me. I concur! The last time I went low carb, it took about 3 weeks to lose that sugary-hazy feeling, but once I did, I felt great. Going back to carbs was too easy, even though it made be feel crummy.

Congratulations. Low carb is the way we have been eating for thousands of years. The modern high process carb diet or Standard American Diet (SAD) is a fad, based on fraudulent "science" and special interest corruption.
I have brought my height and waist ratio (
WSR) to under 50% by incorporating cyclical fasting and holding to a daily six (6) hour ketogenic eating window. The move to a cyclical ketogenic diet was easy after being low carb for over a decade. This was the only way I found to lose the last of the stubborn visceral fat. This ancestral method of eating is also critical for metabolic
Autophagy.
Finally, check out Monk Fruit. For those who just can't break the sugar habit, this is actually a beneficial metabolic replacement. I finally managed to get my wife to switch to it. She found it to be indiscernible from sugar.
People need to understand that being thin does not mean you are are immune to insulin resistance. That is the greatest misnomer in the fat and thin arguments. There are people who are obese and not insulin resistance (small percentage) and there are those that are thin with a "healthy" BMI that are. People need to pay close attention to their
A1C levels.
Congratulations again!
