A recent Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation survey found that 51 percent of American millennials would rather live in a socialist or communist country than in a capitalist country. Only 42 percent prefer the latter (http://tinyurl.com/ybsejy3f). Twenty-five percent of millennials who know who Vladimir Lenin was view him favorably. Lenin was the first premier of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Half of millennials have never heard of Communist Mao Zedong, who ruled China from 1949 to 1959 and was responsible for the deaths of 45 million Chinese people.
The number of people who died at the hands of Josef Stalin may be as high as 62 million. However, almost one-third of millennials think former President George W. Bush is responsible for more killings than Stalin (http://tinyurl.com/yb43dlhm). By the way, Adolf Hitler, head of the National Socialist German Workers Party, was responsible for the deaths of about 20 million people. The Nazis come in as a poor third in terms of historys most prolific mass murderers. According to professor Rudolph Rummels research, the 20th century, mankinds most brutal century, saw 262 million peoples lives destroyed at the hands of their own governments (http://tinyurl.com/lu8z8ab).
Young people who werent alive during World War II and its Cold War aftermath might be forgiven for not knowing the horrors of socialism. Some of their beliefs represent their having been indoctrinated by their K-12 teachers and college professors. There was such leftist hate for former President George W. Bush that its not out of the question that those 32 percent of millennials were taught by their teachers and professors that Bush murdered more people than Stalin.
Americas communists, socialists and Marxists have little knowledge of socialist history. Bradley Birzer, a professor of history at Hillsdale College, explains this in an article for The American Conservative titled Socialists and Fascists Have Always Been Kissing Cousins. Joseph Goebbels wrote in 1925, It would be better for us to end our existence under Bolshevism than to endure slavery under capitalism. This Nazi sentiment might be shared by Sen. Bernie Sanders and his comrade Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Goebbels added, I think it is terrible that we and the Communists are bashing in each others heads (http://tinyurl.com/yd4lqxvs).
When the tragedies of socialist regimes such as those in Venezuela, the USSR, China, Cuba and many others are pointed out to Americas leftists, they hold up Sweden as their socialist role model. But they are absolutely wrong about Sweden. Johan Norberg points this out in his documentary Sweden: Lessons for America? Americans might be surprised to learn that Swedens experiment with socialism was a relatively brief flirtation, lasting about 20 years and ending in disillusionment and reform (http://tinyurl.com/lvdwzhr). Reason magazine reports: Sweden began rolling back government in the early 1990s, recapturing the entrepreneurial spirit that made it a wealthy country to begin with. High taxation and a generous array of government benefits are still around. But now its also a nation of school vouchers, free trade, open immigration, light business regulation, and no minimum wage laws. School vouchers, light business regulation and no minimum wage laws are practices deeply offensive to Americas leftists.
Our young people are not the first Americans to admire tyrants and cutthroats. W.E.B. Du Bois, writing in the National Guardian in 1953, said, Stalin was a great man; few other men of the 20th century approach his stature. Walter Duranty called Stalin the greatest living statesman and a quiet, unobtrusive man. There was even leftist admiration for Hitler and fellow fascist Benito Mussolini. When Hitler came to power in January 1933, George Bernard Shaw described him as a very remarkable man, a very able man. President Franklin Roosevelt called Mussolini admirable, and he was deeply impressed by what he (had) accomplished. In 1972, John Kenneth Galbraith visited Communist China and praised Mao and the Chinese economic system. His Harvard University colleague John K. Fairbank believed that America could learn much from the Cultural Revolution, saying, Americans may find in Chinas collective life today an ingredient of personal moral concern for ones neighbor that has a lesson for us all.
Are Americans who admire the worlds most brutal regimes miseducated or stupid? Or do they have some kind of devious agenda?

How so?
For Americans, its a cover.
Take a look at our Democrat/Socialists.
Diane Feinstein....rich or poor?
Nancy Pelosi.....rich or poor?
Hillary Clinton.....rich or poor?
Elizabeth Warren.....rich or poor?
Bernie Sanders.....rich or poor?
They are all rich, yet they talk about redistributing wealth.
Why dont they redistribute their wealth if they think that is such a good idea?
Its because they are liars and they are talking but not doing.
They’re arrogant. They think they’ll be part of the elite group that tells the masses how to lead their lives.
Once you become the leader of a Socialist/Communist country, then you are in charge. You are responsible. You have to make the magic happen.
But you cant.
There is no magic.
You cant provide everything to everyone.
So, what do you do?
You reduce the number of people you have to take care of.
You also blame the problems on foreigners.
One of the kids in my neighborhood when I was growing up believed in magic. He really did.
He thought that if he put on a black cape and waved a wand, he could magically make things happen.
The last time I saw him, he was working as a waiter.
Not so magical.
I grew up in the Age when phrases like “the only good Commie is a dead Commie” and “kill a Commie for your Mommy” were on Bumper stickers.
In today’s America, half the Population would think you were talking about them.
It weren't Millennials that oversaw the price of a college degree reach that of a small home while mandating that every job that paid over ten dollars an hour require one.
It weren't Millennials that shipped our entire manufacturing base overseas and imported a foreign slave labor force to work the few blue collar jobs that remained for pennies.
Did Millennials allow our health care system to achieve costs so sky-high that breaking an arm without health insurance could bankrupt a family?
It weren't Millennials who built solid middle-class lives with wages provided by labor unions and then sought to dismantle these unions once they no longer benefited from them.
Enjoy your socialized medicine. It's coming, courtesy of Millennials. Call it "payback" if you will. It's going to suck if you're over 65 but at least a child's broken arm won't bankrupt a family.
They are the people the anticommunists were struggling to prevent.
Or as I’ve been saying: When stupidity becomes common in a culture it will be the stupedist stupidity available.
These are frequently that same people onboard with the gender letter lunacy ... so they’re running at the ragged edge of stupid in more ways than just being socialists.
Really not much difference between Hitler and Stalin. Both pretty much did the same things. Hitler had the Jews, Stalin had the Kulaks.
Arbitrary government really took off under FDR and the indoctrination by useful Idiots was ongoing even then.
They are treasonous.
Capitalism produces EVERYTHING Democrats/socialists/communists wish to redistribute.
Democrats/socialists/communists run out of things to redistribute the minute they succeed in destroying capitalism.
Case in point; Venezuela.
You are absolutely correct. It’s a simple formula, and we actually paid them to do this.
Wow....how old are you?
And you kill or imprison those who point out that you actually have no magic.
Harry Potter is a huge phenomenon.
Why?
Because people want to believe in Magic.
They want something for nothing.
I worked with a millennial that took several helpings of socialism in college. He believed that all the negative news out of Venezuela was only capitalist propaganda. Socialism was the ideal that all should strive for.
Mislead with average intelligence that they believe is well above average.
Depends on the stories you heard - mine came from actual people who made it over/through the wall at the time when I lived there ... there was lots of blood stains in many places, even shrapnel and bullet holes (easy to patch)
