Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
The media keeps hyping, and Mueller just keeps winding it down. – The White House announced yesterday that President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) has returned his answers to the questions that had been submitted to him by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Speaking with Jonathan Swain at Axios, presidential attorney Rudy Giuliani basically said he thinks this will be the extent of the President’s direct interactions with Mueller and his merry, diminishing band of Clinton/Obama hacks.
Guiliani said he thinks that, while it is “possible” that Mueller might try to issue a subpoena to compel verbal testimony by President Trump, that process would “consume months” and end up with Mueller losing the battle. He also said that, “I don’t think they have any evidence of collusion of any kind. I think their obstruction case, as a legal matter, doesn’t exist.”
The next steps here are, like everything else related to the Special Counsel’s fake “investigation”, unclear and open simply to the whims of Mr. Mueller. If he follows the path he has obviously been embarked upon since July, which has been a slow winding down of his staff and the pace of his investigation, he will take the President’s answers, roll them into a final report, and submit that report within the next few months while farming out any remaining prosecutable cases he thinks he has to the Justice Department.
Or he might decide to continue to keep his Spanish Inquisition-style pursuits of fringe players like reporter Jerome Corsi and Roger Stone alive so he and his evil minions can keep fleecing the government out of millions of dollars for several more months. Either way, it’s more obvious today than ever that, where the President is concerned, he is holding a big bag of nothing.
It is also obvious that, despite all the media wailing to the contrary, President Trump is more than happy to let Mueller continue twisting in the wind and has no intention of firing him. Matt Whitaker was not appointed to be acting Attorney General to take Mueller out, but he is now exercising some real oversight on the conduct of the investigation, which will only serve to incentivize Mueller to complete his work and move along.
The most likely scenario is that the Mueller investigation ends not with the bang of an indicted president, but with the soft thud of a few process-crime guilty pleas and indictments of Russian ham sandwiches that will never be eaten. It’s long past time for Mueller to put up or shut up.

To no one’s surprise, an Obama-appointed left-wing activist judge, Jon Tigar, ruled yesterday that President Trump has no authority to deny asylum to anyone who does not conform to the legal process of presenting themselves at a formal port of entry. This ruling is absurd and will no doubt be overturned, but in the meantime the Administration must figure out what to do about the invading hordes at our Southern border.
Thousands are already there, and another “caravan” of more than 10,000 – which is being studiously ignored by our fake news media – is making its way up through Mexico as we speak. Word is that more caravans are already being formed up in Honduras in anticipation that U.S. judges appointed by Obama will continue thwarting Trump Administration efforts to contain the flood.
This is an invasion, plain and simple. It is well-funded, high-organized and managed by leftist activist groups funded by George Soros and other wealthy globalists. It is an assault on U.S. sovereignty designed to turn our country into just another third-world shithole, to use a phrase that others have coined.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, concerned that the thousand of immigrants already occupying the streets of Tijuana are already causing major problems and infiltrated with as many as 500 violent gang members, issued the following tweet mid-day yesterday:

There is a strong case to be made that the President and his administration should simply ignore Judge Tygar’s order under a declaration of a national emergency. Indeed, given that Trump’s executive order denying asylum to those who enter the country illegally was issued as a national security directive, it is not even subject to judicial review. Tigar clearly overstepped his bounds, and he also ignored the fact that the man who appointed him, Barack Obama, changed immigration law via an executive order when he issued his own order protecting the “Dreamers” from deportation.
Would Democrats and the fake news media go nuts and lambast President Trump for making such a move? Sure, they would. So it would be just like any other day for this President. So what?
For its part, the White House issued the following statement in response to Tigar’s ruling:
“This decision will open the floodgates, inviting countless illegal aliens to pour into our country on the American taxpayer’s dime,” the statement continued. “This temporary injunction is yet another example of activist judges imposing their open border policy preferences, which are rejected by the overwhelming majority of the American people, and interfering with the executive branch’s authority to administer the immigration system in a manner that ensures the Nation’s safety, security, and the rule of law.”
“We will take all necessary action to defend the executive branch’s lawful response to the crisis at our southern border.”
Meanwhile, during his latest impromptu press availability held before he boarded Marine One, the President had this to say:
“People should not be allowed to immediately run to this very friendly circuit and file their case — and you people know better than anybody what is happening is a disgrace, in my opinion, it is a disgrace what happens with the 9th Circuit. We will win that case in the Supreme Court of the United States,” Trump said.
They’d better hurry.

Trump should ignore this illegal order and tell the judge he will see him at the Supremes. He had to know this was going to happen.

This will continue until these activist judges are tossed from the bench and disbarred. Some should be jailed. Right now there is absolutely no penalty for just making up or breaking any law they choose.

Yep. And he already has the previous SCOTUS refugee ruling to back him up should he correctly choose to ignore the order.
From the news this AM, that is what he is going to do. Time to start impeaching judges?
I disagree. President Trump should issue a statement that the Courts are without any jurisdiction to make any ruling with respect to the defence of the United States and its border. Asking the USSC for permission is the absolute wrong thing to do. The Constitution is clear. If the Courts think they can usurp the clearly enunciated powers of the President, the judges can send in their troops to disarm the US military. /s
The Republican Congress could have taken care of this in 2017, the first time some clown federal district judge pulled this stunt.
How is it that a District Judge’s authority is not limited to his District?
Mr. GG2 and I were just talking about this tonight. The Congress does nothing to back Trump up. Meanwhile these judges, the left wing and the media are trying to overthrow the duly elected govt. They are going to pressure Trump until he finally calls martial law just to stay in office. It may get that bad.
It may very well get that bad. Martial Law in the counties along the border may be our only recourse to stop the invasion.
