we will lose elections because so far the 21st century is all about the heart.

So, based on emotions. Gee, I wonder why that is? Dems know how to push the buttons of enough of a certain segment of voters to have an advantage. Without women voters, Dems would be DOA.

That makes more sense to me. Also, make sure that the leagl voting age goes from 25 to 80 only. 25 is the average age at which the human brain is finally fully developed, and half of all people at the age of 85 are experiencing some sort of dementia.

I have three teens. Their schools are trying to cram them into college, and they know its a sucker’s bet. The unions, God bless them (yes, you heard that right), are paying them $26/hr to learn their trade.

I have to tell you, this is an historic opportunity for the GOP and unions. They got hammered by the H1-B thing and illegal immigration as much as any of us did.

There is something there for smarter political minds than mine. The teens don’t have a path like we did as kids - graduate HS, go to college, job is waiting. That has morphed into graduate HS, go to college, no job available, $250K in debt is shackled to you forever (non-dischargeable in bankruptcy).

The GOP can break the college cabal on ideology with this if they are skillful.

Speaking of Bondi what’s her next move? It’s a shame I’m married. But then Marilyn Monroe would still be alive if she had tied the knot with me. All men would agree if it was them. Bondi keeps the weight down and she could take Marco’s seat when he gets bored.

Don't know much about Bondi, but certainly easy on the eyes.

Of any friend, coworker, relative, etc., in my entire life, I never heard any of them commenting on a candidate’s looks.

Even the college-age women of today probably aren’t influenced much by appearance. Would Bernie Sanders have received as much support from them if they did?

That is why Reagan was so popular. He could do that and he backed it up with action.

Reagan also had The Cold War to thank for galvanizing patriotic sentiment.

“....but in essence, the GOP’s marketing approach is about 30 years behind”.

That’s for certain. A whole new strategy and appealing approach must be implemented. DJT is on the right track but it must be applied from the very bottom, up.

One key is that people must be made aware of how detrimental Leftist/Progressive policies are to them on a personal basis. Most cannot see the big picture so it must be brought down to a personal level that they can relate to.

Several counties, in Texas, have turned blue, since the 2012 election.

Fort Bend county, once a very reliable RED county, went for ILLary, in 2016.

They just lost their long time Repub County Judge and many other (Judge, District Clerk, etc) positions, to Dims. Only Rs that were safe were the ones unopposed, or not up for re-election, THIS year. (2016 was their wake up call, and they didn’t answer that call.)

Tarrant County (Fort Worth area) just turned blue, for the first time in DECADES.

It’s the influx of immigrants....legal and illegal....and transplants from CA and IL. The CA’s come for jobs, the IL come for welfare. Both bring their lib value systems with them.

Not to mention that the RNC/GOP in Texas and in Ft Bend County (I have no idea about Tarrant) did a horrible job of getting any messages out, or boots on the ground. Again, at least what we’ve seen in our area. (Far west of Houston area). And, Cruz ran a poor campaign. No sign of him, until the last month and when Trump rallied for him, in Houston. Didn’t he have ANY successes or track record to tout?

MAGA is a FEELING, a slogan that appeals to the heart and emotion that says “A great America is a good America.” That’s wonderful as far as it goes, but “in general,” this is NOT reaching those under 50 the way it should. Why?

Why?

"Make America Great Again" is a tug at the heartstrings of nostalgia. The "America" that was "Great" means something to you and me, but people who were born after 1990 never experienced it, so there are no heartstrings to resonate, no greatness to experience "again."

Why do Tester and Manchin win? I don’t know either, but I’m guessing it’s 100% because they have made that “Clinton connection” that makes people feel special... It’s the ONLY answer for these two douchenozzles.

Maybe it's because, to millennials, they are the "again" that fits their specific nostalgia. Manchin was the Secretary of State for four years, and Governor for six years before becoming their Senator for six years. He's familiar to West Virginians; he's their known quantity. It's not that Manchin connects in a "feel your pain" kind of way, it's just that they cannot envision a West Virginia without Joe Manchin being there. He's a part of the landscape.

Tester is a different story. I don't know about Tester.

I think there is a lot more to say on this, but if we continue to blame fraud, voting machines, public schools, or whatever-—even if some is true-—we will lose elections because so far the 21st century is all about the heart.

I think that to appeal to millennials, the message has to become:

YOU Make America Great Again!

Republicans have to paint a picture that tells millennials that they are what's needed to make America great, and show millennials what their place is in a "Great America."

Whether it's the jobs that millennials will fill, or the causes that millennials care about, or the opportunities that millennials will create for their own future children, they need to know how they fit into the vision of what makes America great, and how their predecessors did fit into the great America we're trying to get back to.

No, it has to be “for a reason.”

WHY should you “make America Great Again?” If they don’t understand through education why that’s a good thing-—and they won’t-—then you better find a better argument as to NOW why making America great again is a GOOD thing, how it benefits therm.

I am no longer buying red/blue crap.

No place is redder in America than Montana. #EpicFail.

The question is, “why is it blue?” What are they appealing to, and how?

It’s like saying, Mesa, AZ, is now MdDonald’s territory. Well, fine. But why? Why is it not Burger King territory?

The issue is how you appeal to voters to change the colors.

Yes. And the future is NOT college for all. It will still be important, but not what it used to be. I don’t know when that breaking point comes.

"“A “growing economy” and “money in your pocket” are NOT enough for the 21st century, because Millennials and those younger need to feel relevant, important. “

Hogwash, with all due respect.

Republicans lost in the affluent suburbs because their “tax cut” was, in fact, a tax increase on the upper middle class in blue states.

Limiting SALT to pay for the Corporate cut was their downfall.

==================================================================================

This is something most outside of the big blue states don't realize.

For example, there are nearly 5 million registered Republicans in CA.

There are more registered Republicans in CA than there are the entire state populations of:
Louisiana, Kentucky, Oregon, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Iowa, Utah, Nevada, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kansas, New Mexico, Nebraska, West Virginia, Idaho, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Montana, Rhode Island, Delaware, South Dakota, North Dakota, Alaska, District of Columbia, Vermont, Wyoming.

Not everyone in CA (or NY) is a millionaire living in a mansion. There are many (R)'s in the big blue states that effectively saw their tax obligations go up. Is that the end all be all reason why we lost 27+ seats in the House? Of course not. It is a factor though, and that's a whole lot of (R)'s to piss off financially.

People often vote with their income in mind, even libs.

Look at the story out of WA state where the voters, voted down a "carbon tax." Even the greenies aren't willing to part with their money for one of their favorite cause's. Someone else's money? Yeah, sure. But not their own.

He does. But he does it naturally. I think in 2020, he will have a little more trouble if he cannot answer the question, “Make America Great Again . . .Why? For what purpose?”

The answer is “A great America is a good America.” They don’t know that, and we no longer have time to educate them (that would take 20 years). I think it essential to “educate on the fly” through real life as we market to them that “A great America is a Good America.” MAKE the Ds refute that and run on “I hate America.”

I want to ask every illegal I see, in the grocery store, nail salon, doctor’s office (yes, they are EVERYWHERE, now)....

¿Quieres el país que dejaste o el país que soñaste? Entonces, no voten y no presionar por el socialismo.

I know, they’re not supposed to be voting, but we have seen evidence that they are.

They shouldn’t even be allowed to STAY, another month, if they’re here illegally.

I appreciate what POTUS is doing to stop the flow, but...as evidenced in our recent election, these folks are already effecting our election outcomes.
