Texas is now purple. A 3 point win for Cruz proves it. Beto is all the Rats have for 2020 and he's going to have to run for POTUS. He can lie his way into the WH just like Hussein did. If he lowers his sights and takes on Cornyn he'll win. Moral victories don't count unless you're a Democrat. Fla./Ga. governors races had no business being so close. I hope Trump enjoys slapping around house Democrats because he'll have to.

He did MUCH better (4.6 million) than Canuck Cruz (4.2 million) who never even thanked President Trump in his victory speech. Again.
Why did Abbot do so much better then Cruz?

TX isn’t purple, TX is apathetic... Consistently doesn’t have more than 35% of eligible voters show up in presidential elections....

Cruz instantly lost credibility with many people when he blamed Trump's rhetoric for the Chicago protests at the Trump campaign rally.
He was being touted as a constitutional god and then blurted out that nonsense on national TV. He sounded like one of the moonbats.

If Trump decides to run in 2020 the most critical body we hold other than the Presidency would be the Senate for Judicial and administrative nominations. We need to support every Republican incumbent to hold the Senate Period.
Democrats' sacrificial lamb Valdez had no money and no message. Thanks to Beto, she got 43% of the vote.
Despite all of Beto's money and youthful charisma, the fact remains that NO ONE from El Paso has ever won a statewide election...a point that I made numerous times, yet seemingly no one, especially in the MSM, paid attention to.

I live in West Texas- the panhandle/plains area.
If I didn’t listen to local talk radio I would have been surprised when I went to vote; I wouldn’t have known that there was anyone other than Abbott running for Governor. I saw not one single yard sign or bumper sticker for Valdez; I didn’t see nor hear any radio or TV ads, either.
The Dems didn’t run a really viable candidate for Governor. Lupe Valdez apparently ran on the basis of being female/Hispanic/lesbian. I don’t think she raised nor spent an awful lot of money, either.
On the other hand, Cruz clearly had an opponent.
As far as liking/not liking a candidate, I never gave that much thought. Do I like Cruz? I don’t know. I don’t vote on that basis. Then again, I don’t understand this “charisma” people speak of concerning “Bobby.” I don’t think he’s cute, I don’t think he’s charismatic, and I can’t see a circumstance under which I would vote for him for any office at all.
Unfortunately I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him.

I said in 2015 that Cruz was putting his Senate seat in danger with his crazy antics and his failure to concentrate on Texas.
No one wants a Televangelist for a Senator.
Nor do they want someone who sits around and pouts when people are not nice to him.
My advice is for Cruz to grow up, stop running on being Hispanic and become a man.
He should have cleaned Beto’s clock.

I agree. I think it’s going to be Ivy League frat boy Roberto for the Dims in 2020. He’s crafting a youthful image similar to BJ Clinton. And he lost. So he won’t have beltway stink on him and can campaign non stop until the primaries start.
Bottom of the ticket will probably be Gillum to get blacks all wee-wee’d up for the ticket. The Deep State will put to bed his corruption “problems” and he will be free to run as VP in 2020.
