Historian Douglas Brinkley called President Trump's Twitter ad against illegal immigration "blatant xenophobia."

"We've got right-wing terrorism in this country like we saw during the Oklahoma City Bombing during the Bill Clinton years. We're seeing it on the rise right now; anti-semitism up over 50% in the past year," Brinkley said to CNN's Don Lemon on Wednesday.

Easter Sunday morning before the OKC bombing, Paul Harvey was on the radio saying that the chatter in the middle-east was that, very soon, a mid-west US city was going to be bombed. I remember we all had just got in the car to head to Easter dinner with family and because Paul Harvey came on the radio, my dh decided to sit and listen to his broadcast before leaving the driveway. We even mulled over what mid-western US city this possibly might happen in. We never thought such a thing would actually happen anywhere in the US.

I worked 3 blocks from the Murrah Bldg. Later that day, all the ladies in my office were questioned about anything we happened to see or notice when we may have been on break. They asked specifically, if we’d seen a pick-up truck racing away w/3 MEs - apparently, some had already mentioned something like that before they got to us.

My husband worked just a block from the bldging, as well. He was on the 25th floor of the Kerr-McGee bldg. He would pick me up for the ride home from work every day. With all the traffic issues that spring day - it was hell getting home from work.
