'The View' co-host and attorney Sunny Hostin, arguing against due process, said on Thursday's show that "a woman's word is enough" and that she has taken cases to trial based on a woman's testimony and no witnesses. She said you don't need a witness, all you need is "someone's truth."
Hostin celebrated the progression of how the law treats sexual assault: "We finally said a woman's word is enough."
"I've taken many cases to trial with just a woman's word," Hostin said to applause. "And now you have the First Lady of the United States telling women everywhere your word is not enough. I think it does so much damage, and quite frankly, that isn't the law."
"You don't need a witness. You don't need forensic evidence. You need someone's truth, and we heard Dr. Ford's truth," Hostin celebrated.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor - there’s a reason why this prohibition is in the Ten Commandments... because people did it back then, too. It is in the Bible: Mrs. Potiphar accused Joseph of rape - after he refused her advances, and was tossed in prison because of it.

Who turns down an easy $2500-$3000 (estimate on my part) even when the outcome is highly doubtful? (as long as they inform their customer client up front of the situation)

Assuming what she says is true, and women never lie, she indicates these are criminal trials. Guilt beyond reasonable doubt but with the victim unnamed in the documents and little prior conduct allowed to be cited. Kind of kangaroo court IMO. If not a criminal case consider a civil issue where it is preponderance of evidence for example paternity. That is like a kangaroo court on steroids when a wyman’s word is the deciding factor.
I meant if Hostin was telling the truth about actually getting those cases to trial, but you are correct. It’s about the money too.
