Just wonderful Thank you so much!
Thank you! Wonderful pictures, and thank you for reminding us about Swampsniper’s contributions to our enjoyment of nature.
Loved those SWAMPSNIPER threads. We had a lot of fun talking about film cameras, too. Hey, I can’t see the wings on that hummingbird. What sort of shutter speed must it take to stop or even see those wings... And how much light!?
Great post. Thank you!
Thank you for the ping!
Very cute owl!
I used to live in Florida and did photography of nesting birds at the St Augustine Alligator Farm where Swampsniper also did photography. I have Colorado wildlife photos on my home page. I need to get a slide scanner to be able to post some of my bird photos.
AWESOME!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I love all the pix, but I particularly LOVE THE OWLS!!!!!
[Pinging my friends who might like owls like I do.... or at least are interested in them!]
Thanks for the ping. I spend 3 or 4 hours a day watching the birds at my feeding station that consists of 8’X10” dog kennel with a chainlink top because we live in Black Bear country here on Humboldt Bay on the north coast of California. Saw a male Downy Woodpecker just before I came in the house this evening...
Such beautiful photos!
A nice tribute to Swampsniper.
Well done Chipper. Thank you.
Thanks for the ping. I never missed.one of Sniper’s threads, and he never minded me being a Nikon trooper :o)
Hello Fancy meeting you here. Not sure why but thought of him the other day and was remembering his last few posts. I always enjoyed them.
Not sure if I’m on the birdy ping list, but please add me if I’m not.
Great photos, chipper! I saw a new bird for me this summer, the yellow billed cuckoo. If I can figure out how to post a pic of him, I’ll add it. I think he’s still hanging around in my woods. I haven’t had many migration sightings as I had hoped for this year. Maybe I’ve been too distracted.
Terrific photos! Thanks for sharing those!
Thanks for the thread! Just a few days ago Swampsnipers name came up on the Monthly cooking thread. Heard some sandhill cranes flying low over our house headed back north. And we saw an evening grosbeak at the feeder the other day, not common in west Michigan (near Grand Rapids). Rescued a white breasted nuthatch the other day, just a little shock from hitting the slider. Hummers gone :(.
Hey look at the new thread. Nice timing!
Sheesh! Was supposed to say:
RIP, Swampsniper.
Dang phone!
Thanks for posting these wonderful pics and for remembering Swampsniper in this way ...
