HOLY CRAP! Christine Ford’s Stanford Bio Page WAS ALTERED — Updated 10 Days Before Hearing
Gateway Pundit ^ | September 29, 2018 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 09/29/2018 5:55:32 PM PDT by iontheball

During testimony Thursday in front of Senate Judiciary Committee Christine Ford identified herself as a “Research Psychologist” at the Stanford School of Medicine. However a search through the Department of Consumer Affairs License Bureau produced NO RESULTS for Christine Ford or deviations of her name. Earlier this week NPR explained why they don’t call Christine Ford a doctor because they reserve the title of “Dr.” for an individual who holds a doctor of dental surgery, medicine, optometry, osteopathic medicine, podiatric medicine or veterinary medicine. Sadly. Democrat Party’s Attempt to File Charges Against Judge Kavanaugh in State of Maryland Are Quickly Rebuffed. That was a smart move. There are no state records that show Ford is a licensed psychologist. This is another direct hit on Ford’s credibility.

Now this…

The Christine Blasey Ford bio page on the Stanford website was altered earlier this month.

The bio page used to look like this — Christine Blasey is given title of Research Psychologist.

I’m just being pedantic. Because the “media” claimed Obama was a “law professor”....when he was an adjunct. Big difference.

I had a guy apply for a job in my dept years ago whose resume indicated ‘PHD (ABD)’. He said it meant he had his doctorate but hadn’t completed his dissertation (All But Dissertation). He insisted upon being called Dr. I didn’t hire him

Not being a jerk, but just trying to explain.

A psychologist is usually a PhD, especially someone doing the higher level stuff she has done.

Your local clinical counselor is probably a Masters with a specialty. Many are PhD, but it’s not required to be licensed in most states.

Then there are psychiatrists. Those folks are MDs who deal with diseases of the brain. You might go to a psychologist who might diagnose depression or bi-polar; but then they send you a MD to get the diagnosis confirmed and they prescribe treatment.

So, in her context—not clinical, it is more common for her to be called Doctor because most everyone in that research end are “peers.” And they all know the CV of everyone they work with. It’s a pretty small world—and they all know each other because they all worked at the same places.

California and most states, restrict the title, then specify exceptions and exemptions in statute and/or regulations.

A free copy of California Board of Psychology's Laws and Regulations 2018 Edition is available for download under the Publications tab on their website.

Her doctorate is a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Research Design. B&P 2914 includes that degree. Of course, she does not need a license to use the title, per B&P 2909(b).

Not too sure about Psy.D. being the more prevalent degree. Would appreciate a source for that statistic.

My understanding is her degree is in “Educational Psychology” from the school of education at USC. A status not at all impressive to ‘real’ psychologists.

I proudly claim PhD (ABD&C) educational status. I have all the requirements for a PhD lacking only the dissertation and the coursework. ;-)

Now is this true or not? What significance is this?

It’s the same as claiming you are a licensed lawyer and you are not. Psychologists are licensed and their practice is regulated under most state laws, including California.

I’m not sure how I know if this is true or not? Is Gateway Pundit a reliable source? Before I get too excited...

Hasan was at Walter Reed when I was a volunteer there on the amputation ward. Knew him. He was an M.D.

I figured he had to be, but like I said no where could I find him referred to as Dr. which I found strange.

In order to practice in California as a clinical psychologist you must have a Psy D

I shouldn’t have said must. You are correct a PhD can get you in but note what they say at their site

“Students who want to earn a doctorate in psychology have the choice of two different types of degrees. The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is more clinical in nature and most people who want to practice psychology pursue this degree type. The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology is typically pursued by those who want a career in academia. A doctoral program usually takes four to seven years to complete.”

The point is she ain’t clinical. Moreover PAU is a joke
