G, D, or A, in that order.
Always try to have a seat with an unobstructed view of the entrance, if possible. If theres as one way emergency exit, I want to be near it, if at all possible.
I go this from Heinlein:
Never sit with your back to the door. 999 times out of 1,000 it will not be your enemy coming through. But there is that 1,000th time.
And I don’t. The best spot looked like the corner table in a side seat away from the door so you can see the door well but don’t get trapped in the corner but can easily.
I read an interesting article by Skeeter Skelton many years ago on a similar subject.
Basically being aware, careful and determined are more important than skill.
I’d take C2.
You can not make a valid choice without knowing that.
I would sit where I can see the entrances, and where nobody could sneak up behind me.
This Ping List is for all things pertaining to the 2nd Amendment.
FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from the list.

Thanks, TIK.
Of course, you could move to Maine, NH or Vermont and not have to worry...
D-1. It allows me to see both the front entrance, the kitchen door and the bathroom doors. And the waiting area is now out my line of fire.
C2
G1.
I am not especially skilled, but I am very aware.
My best friend, a woman who is largely oblivious, routinely asks me where I want to sit at a public place. She knows I am intensely uncomfortable with my back to the door; she does not joke about it.
With me it is instinctual, not from training.
Just don’t use the term OODA Loop: You might “trigger” certain FReepers...

A1 or A2, G1 or G2 IF I was out to eat.
I’d rather spend 1/2 the money and cook at Home. We might eat out 8 to 10 times a year if that. I know what’s in Our food and that it wasn’t dropped on a floor, spit in or had bugs in it or walked across it. Or how well the Kitchenware, glasses, cups or dishes and flatware have been washed.
AND did the Kitchen Staff and Waitstaff wash their hands at the start of shift, after going to the bathroom, using the mop and bucket, take out the trash, bus tables or pick their nose. Etc, Etc...
All that said I’m more likely to get sick eating out than being at a shooting event in Our City. More that half the People I’ve met here CCW or OC since that’s legal. I prefer to CCW for the Surprise Factor as I call it.
Of course One never knows when or where some sicko might strike. Doctors Office, ER, Hospital, Lumber Yard, Tack Store or ???.
In the 7 years I’ve lived here I know of 1 Convinence Store and 2 Grocery Stores that have been robbed. The Hospital I go to has had 2 Firearm incidents and both were people that were displaced from Hurricanes and were from out of Town. And the Hospital I use is not in Our City, it’s 12 miles away towards Charlotte (aka Little Chicago Wanna Be) also the 2 Grocery Store Robberies were Charlotte gang jobs, 1 was a gang initiation test.
I picked C-2. It has visibility of the front door, no one behind you and close to the kitchen door whish allows escape through the back door.
