Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has expressed his outrage to Israel's Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman after 15 Russian servicemen died when their plane was shot down by Syrian air defenses during a sudden Israeli air attack.
Russia's Defense Ministry says 4 Israeli F-16's used the larger Russian IL-20 plane as a decoy for their attack on the northern Syria city of Latakia.
Russia says it reserves the right to an "adequate response"....

What drives Syria is Saudi Arabia’s money and power that fueled the Al Qaeda jihadists fighting the Asaad regime and drew the Russians in at Syria’s request.
The Russians have helped to stop the head choppers atrocities against Christians and others in Syria.

Not long ago,the Iran government accused Israel of stealing their clouds and their rain.
Maybe the Syrians could quit shooting rockets into Israel.
Perhaps they droned that big old bird out to sea and flipped the “kill” switch.

1) Iran is part of the mix. Iran has been operating in northern Syria, which is where the Israeli air strike occurred. Iran has been using the Syrian civil war to creep closer to Israel and Israel has been pushing them back, because Israel knows that Iran is all about destroying Israel.
2) The main thing Russia is mad at is that, yet again, Israel has demonstrated to the world that Russian air defenses sold to other countries are completely worthless.
But they think they are, Dunning-Kruger Effect...
Israelis did that when they bombed Iraq’s nuclear plant in ‘81. They stacked all of their F-15’s and 16’s vertically so they looked like a single airliner on radar.
The Russians need to develop some bigger balls. They willing jumped into the deep end of a nasty civil war in a region known for byzantine politics, longheld grudges and incompetent militaries (Israel aside). Losses were inevitable. Instead they follow their usual playbook; fire off any number of wild theories (the French did it! It’s the Israeli’s fault!) to muddy the waters before whining that everyone’s anti-Russian.

It seems to be the Iranians who are supplying rockets to shoot into Israel. Doing bad things to Iran in retaliation makes sense. Pissing off the Russians does not seem like it will end well.
