Mod Pizza. Sweet. Good food.
Ate there once, pure garbage akin to Subway. All there meat is processed and tastes like it. Never again.
It is now. At Mod you construct the pizza just like at Subway, then sit down for 5 minutes and bam custom pizza. Pretty darn fast.
I worked at Taco John’s as a teen, their menu is a little different. More Midwestern. Remember the A & W restaurants?
I have frequented the place. It’s
always packed during lunch hour,
and I’ve seen lines out the door.
I would imagine it’s “best” for
BBQ, but there some pretty good
places to eat that could be
considered “best” according to
their cuisine. Be it Tex-Mex,
seafood, Chinese, etc.
There’s an A&W near my office in Urbandale.
Tasty Tacos features shells that are more like Indian fry bread. I’m not a big fan, but Des Moiniacs of all ages seem to love them.
Good Burger in East Dearborn, Michigan???? Never heard of it, besides, if its in East Dearborn, why isnt it some middle eastern fast food joint? Glad to hear there are still some American restaurants in East Dearbornistan.
” Remember the A & W restaurants?”
Yes, in Jacksonville Fl circa 1967....and Lums also from that year...they both (esp. Lums) disappeared like a snowflake in the sun shortly afterwards...but in their ‘67 hey day, they were plentiful in this city...and were simply awesome. Better than anything we have today.
Beer boiled wieners. I lived in Hollywood, Florida from 1968 to 1970 and we went there a time or two.
“Paper thin patties of tasteless meat piled with junk to overwhelm the lack of taste.”
sounds exactly like Carl’s Junior ...
MOD Pizza #1 in Washington State? First I even heard of the place. This state is a wasteland though, 5 guys is what people speak of, but I think their food is blargh.
I had Mod pizza once in a downtown office building food court. It is always packed but I was unimpressed. The crust does not have that special yeasty tang of good crust.
Here in the Seattle area, Dick’s Drive-in is very popular. At least five in the Puget Sound region and I heard there was one in Spokane as well. Family-owned by conservatives, cash only, always crowded.
Chik fila is establishing more outlets and is very popular. Hmmm, for some reason our many lefties prefer to eat at conservative joints.

I would have to agree with their choice of Chick Fil-A in South Carolina. I’m in Greenville and every location is always VERY busy when I go there or pass by. They do a killer business here! Sometimes the line of cars is judt ridiculous but they are very fast at taking orders and moving the line along! Love that place. The management and employees are top rate!
Based on general overall quality and cleanliness along with how many there are now (and a pretty broad menu) the Culvers would probably be the Iowa winner.
“Click through the slideshow above to see what the most popular brand in your state is.”
DOUBT IT! Talk about click-bait. Advertising on every page. I don’t are that much.
That survey must be sponsored by Blaze Pizza, I don’t believe the results for a second. Blaze is on a nationwide ad blitz (and one of their owners is LeBron James, surprise surprise). And “Good Burger” is the most popular fast food place in Michigan? I would venture that most people in Michigan have never heard of that place. White Castle is more popular.
Taco John’s beef burritos. Mmmm.
