CNN recently asked a wide-range of Americans living in northeast Pennsylvania Republicans, Democrats, and independents for their opinions on President Donald Trump following the legal developments surrounding Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen, two men deeply tied to the president.
Its clear the segment did not go as CNN planned.
When CNN correspondent Jason Carroll asked residents in Luzerne County which supported Barack Obama in the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, but flipped to support Donald Trump in 2016 for their thoughts on the president following this weeks news, he was met with reactions that will shock east coast elites.
Anne Marie Lenahan, a registered Democrat who voted for Obama then supported Trump, told Carroll she is able to overlook Trumps moral failings. However, she added one caveat: She said it would not be good if money used to cover up Trumps alleged infidelity came from campaign funds.
However, I would still vote for him again, she said.

Wat most people understand about “campaign funds” would fit on the head of a pin.
It is now clear to many that dims do and did hold down our nation, Trump has reversed that and it is still getting better.
Were here in front of the Citarella on Manhattans Upper West Side to get a man on the street perspective...
The blaze ?
Nope....not giving that nut Beck a click...
I keep hearing about Trumps “moral failings”...
Like what? Cocaine?... oh no, that was Obama...
Philandering while being paid to be POTUS?...
oops... That would be JFK and Clinton...
Hmmm... I wonder what moral failings they mean?
LOL! Citarellas would be the place that had a huge cluster of pussy hatted persons clumped outside the door when I happened to walk by when they were assembling for their march earlier this year. I dont know what attracted them...maybe kitties like fish?... or maybe it was simply that the line was too long for them all to fit in the store. Now, they may not realize this, but under socialism, thered be no Citarellas or the money to shop there. Heck, thered be no them.
“Wat most people understand about campaign funds would fit on the head of a pin.”
You can say that just about any issues. That one man one vots works at all is a wonder.
All my life Ive had to listen to media worship and adulation for Saint John the Kennedy of Hyannisport. The White House was used as his personal whorehouse but were supposed to overlook that because he died tragically and have gave us CAMELOT! JFK and all his mistresses in the White House certainly added up to CAMELOT!
Came A Lot
Moral failings or issues, are only discussed by the media when a Republican or conservative is the target.
When the target is a Democrat, then such issues just don’t matter.
That’s how the media rolls.
Yup. I corrected it. Thank you!
“Independents who supported Trump in 2016 told Carroll they might re-consider their support if Trump pardons either Manafort or Cohen.”
I call BS. A Manafort pardon would be a positive, since the travesty of justice in this case is palpable.
I’ve often wondered, who exactly decided, that turn Kennedys were some sort of American “royal family”.
Yes, it was tragic that JFK and RFK were assassinated. But does that justify the deification of this family?
I get frustrated to hear of the tragedies of the Kennedy family, when they include matters such as Chappaquiddick and the William Kennedy Smith rape case. To me, there is a world of difference between self inflicted voluntary actions, and the tragedy of assassinations.
This is just like the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The morons on CNN (redundant I know)—or was it PMSNBC—anyway, they asked the largely black population of people who fled to Houston if they blamed George W Bush.
I remember the poor black residents almost laughing at the notion.
Yep. The bias of CNN is vomit inducing.
I always get a kick out of the incredulous disbelief these “reporters” put on their faces when ever they are interviewing normal people.
media psyops...the handsome smart anchor or reporterette give that “look” to the audience that the particular NORMAL person they are inteviewing is in fact crazy,.
F the media
