Another day, another athlete exposed for terrible behavior on social media. Atlanta Braves left-hander Sean Newcomb apologized on Sunday after a series of his homophobic and racist tweets were found.
The tweets in question were made in 2011 and 2012 when Newcomb was a freshman at the University of Hartford.
Newcomb was one out away from pitching a no-hitter against the Dodgers today.
Words speak louder than actions, in today’s mixed up world
Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker did the right thing by letting Newcomb go as far as possible, throwing 134 pitches, before allowing a hit to my road weary Dodgers (11th game in 11 days).
