Its too good!
Yesterday, former Obama Treasury Secretary Jack Lew was on CNBC bashing President Trumps Trade Tactics when the news came out that Trump had reached a deal with the European Union! They asked Lew for immediate reaction and he clearly didnt know what to say.
CNBCs Sara Eisen then directly confronted him: If this is true, this certainly would be a win for the Administration, and it would show the World that these tough trade tactics are working . . . ."

lol! Love that! Thanks.
Womp womp....
Ha! What timing; that was fun to watch.
There ought to be more discussion of the fact that so many government officials are straight-up political ideologues.
If you are a civil servant, if you are a manager, if you are an economist — you ought to go wherever the data takes you. Find what works. Adjust your goals. Chase success.
These people don’t do that.
They believe that globalism is good, national sovereignty is bad, and they don’t care what happens to the marketplace, the GNP, trade deals, or any of that stuff. Reality doesn’t matter. Their political ideology matters and they are unwilling to change their thinking.
This is NOT the sort of person who should be in government. They cannot be a good steward of the commonwealth.
Interviews from 30 years ago show PDJT’s consistent thinking on foreign affairs, trade, national defense, and other issues, even while jumping back and forth in his political affiliation. Reagan also had well-formed policy views, long before he entered politics. The Communists can’t handle all this winning.
Love that moment - Sara Eisen directly confronted him: It would show the world that these tough trade tactics are working, not like you guys (the Obama administration) did.”
BOOM!!!
She hammered him and all he had was hummina, hummina, hummina...
Agreed.
The TDS is so strong with these people, they cannot even concede the benefit of the doubt to anything Trump is trying. So he says “let’s use tariffs as a tool, as a bargaining chip. We are so deep in the hole with trade, why not?”
Even I, no macro-economics expert, can see the need for “wait and see”. But no, the minute he brings up the idea of tariffs to bargain with, they are all over him.
Seems like a similar scenario to his bargaining with North Korea. They can’t concede the possibility that his plan might work, and then when it does they are totally flummoxed.
All I heard was ‘Trump sucks, Trump sucks’ and after the breaking news ‘Trump still sucks’.
All they know is to double down like their god the Fraud taught them.
I love Laura Ingraham’s show. I tape it and watch it with coffee in the morning. She always has this token, bald headed democrat talking point on there, who invariably will bash Trump at every turn. Does not matter, what he’s done good for the country, this guy finds something to bring up negative. IT’s getting old, and I will usually fast forward any segment that he’s on.
WINNINING
IS NOT
TIRING!!!
She then said to Lew, "certainly not the way you guys handled it" Bwahahahaha!
I linked to a story on the start of the trade deal including increased imports of soybeans and liquid natural gas which undercut the Kremlin's planned pipeline to Germany to make it easier to punish the Ukraine & other Eastern Bloc nations when they want.
‘So, apparently the tariffs not only worked, but he also mitigated the planned Russian pipeline and put additional pressure on China to come to the trade table before the desired soybean crops are all spoken for.’
To which he spouted about how it must have been from some secret deal with Putin and our EU allies are just trying to make sure the American people don't suffer too long under DJT... Funny part was how many people jumped in to say ‘Aww, come on, you can't even describe that as a win?’
He's still convinced that Democrats will win both the House and the Senate and immediately impeach DJT. 2018 (and 2020) are going to be some very long years for the guy.
Trump and the Republicans passed tax cuts, nearly across the board. Markets were up, unemployment continues to fall. The economy boomed.
While the economy is undeniably successful right now, Trump seeks to make some even longer-term, infrastructural changes. He's got to burn a little economic capital in the short term; he's playing hardball, but he's starting to win. His strategy and policies are working. When he finishes his terms as President, if the American people don't look and say, "this is one of our greatest Presidents!" they're out of their minds.
That guy is one of the usual suspects, another useful idiot. He shows up on a lot of shows, he gives my mute button a real work out.
