Maybe its because it was the third of three weddings since May; maybe its just because were getting old. The night was a whirl of deafening music, wild little children chasing laser lights on the dance floor like a herd of cats while young adults and near-adults danced to the oldies (its amazing how many really old songs, recycled by new artists, make their way into the modern wedding repertoire) well into the wee hours.
Of course it was lovely, all weddings are: the bride was radiantly gorgeous, the parents understandably misty-eyed (she is their first, he is their last) and nary a word of politics uttered the entire evening. But given this was just the 9th wedding of our 24 nieces and nephews I decided Id best sleep in this morning and gather energy for the upcoming years.
As such I wish you all a wonderful Sunday. So heres to fair weather, reasonable temperatures and low humidity we have none of the above as you enjoy the day. Id recommend that you all chill out as well as were quickly headed into the dog days of August when, as our former most-eloquent-President-ever liked to tell us, Washington gets all we-weed up .

You have a way with words.
Re-binge-ing on “Longmire” .... for the third time.
The ending was not what I expected.
We currently have 90 degrees with 97% humidity and thunderstorms scheduled most of the day. So much muggy humidity, it literally drips from the air. And it's only 9:00 AM here on the farm in Florida.
I have 4 hours of mowing to navigate today. The three yards around the house, the barnyard and our family cemetery. If I wait until tomorrow, the grass will be so long, I might as well bale it for hay for the cows.
Just waiting a little for the grass to dry out some but I will probably get caught in a rainstorm before I finish.
My clothing will be soaked through from sweating in the humidity even before a rainstorm hits.
Ah, the life of a farmer in hot and humid Florida....
Have a great Sunday everyone.
Staying cool, watching lots of 1950s Si-Fi movies my mom would not let me see back then.
I was fascinated enough to do a search of the characters.Walt is an Australian actor, Henry is Filipino, Mathias is native American, and Jacob is Iranian.
Pretty fascinating cast.
The program was filmed in New Mexico.
But those of us who have lived in Wyoming can tell by looking that it's not Wyoming.
It does not detract from an otherwise enjoyable series.
Having never been in Wyoming, I assumed the filming was at least from the northwest.
I've been through NM and all I ever saw was essentially desert, but of course it was the lower old 66 rte (10?) ... I forget, it was a long time ago.
Northern New Mexico has the look of Wyoming. The southern part is more desert.
Beautiful painting.
