Could a soda machine stop a large-caliber bullet and save your life?
Another question to ponder with us plinkers that have nothing to do.
I'm sure most of us normal people dont think of this but if there were a hail of bullets coming their way.
They probably would not think twice to get behind it for some cover.
Which brings us back to the question.
Again, Youtuber Edwin Sarikissian tries out some different calibers on a vending machine just to see if it is bulletproof.
The results were very impressive.
This metal box stood up to .500 Magnum and the powerful .50 Caliber incendiary round.
The machine held up against everything with nothing in it!
With a fully stock machine it would make it even be more bulletproof.
Though snacks and drinks are considered not good for you, at least the machine can save your life from a bullet. See the full footage of bulletproof vending machine here.

Yup—great info today on fluoridation.
It turns it that fluoride was a toxic waste product from WWII manufacturing, and Alcoa decided a great way to make money was to fund studies showing it was great for tooth decay, and then lobby municipalities to put it in the water supply.
It wasn’t a Commie plot after all, but a corporate one.
Putting it in the water supply was a bad idea then, and a bad idea now.
But, Dr. Strangelove was an amazingly great movie despite their mangled history and ideology. Great leftist propaganda can be done, but Hollyweird today lacks the talent to do it.
Oh, and another stunningly cool 1960s movie (also leftist propaganda) was “Seconds” starring Rock Hudson as the stressed out middle-aged man who wants a do-over.
A friend of mine was given a vandalized soda machine. I helped him move it to a recycling center.
Uggh. I won’t do that that again.
Damn thing weighed 600 pounds.
I understand the training videos say run, don’t hide.
Training videos are worthless - pretty much one size fits all ...
On Military installations, they go into lock-down status and even go so far as to amass folks in specific rooms....hide/be quiet/grab a stapler in case the shooter leaves you no choice....
Irony is that I was a Unit Anti-Terrorism Officer and they spent good money to get me the training and then they abandon a lot of the training concepts (like evacuate and scatter because massing in a set place made it easier to do lots of damage once the evacuations happened) because it was more important to them to be able to count noses right now than to minimize the opportunity for the bad guys to do their deeds....
