Mark Levin calling Trump's trade and economic advisers "idiots" in the first hour. Then he drones on and on about how having a trade deficit is supposed to be good for consumers and belittling other conservative talk radio hosts as "It depends" rather than discussing free markets. Does he not know that this is a negotiation tactic of Trump and the goal here is to make trade policies better for everyone involved? Of course he doesn't, because at heart he's a Never Trumper who is secretly hoping Trump fails so that some massive conservative movement will rise up and elect the same Republicans again who got us into this mess along with the Rats.
No mention of the fact of Canada's tariff's on our dairy products or how America has been taken advantage of for over three decades.
I deleted him from my Sirius XM app and will give his books away to Goodwill tomorrow.
There are some folks here that cannot cope with dissent or disagreement. I don't mind. I am a bit socially liberal, a bit mind you, as I have had a lot of good experiences with some folks that most here would not associate with. It's more enjoyable to have a nice healthy debate or argument than it is to call each other names and walk away. I have not always been this way, not by a long shot.
I also don't drink and post anymore which makes me less aggressive and more pliable. I miss my drunk drinking buddies. We had some pretty wild animated debates when we were drinking but we were always fine when we walked away. Or at least the next day, or week...

However, I would recommend that you visit the WTO website and check the tariffs we levy on some foreign goods. You might be surprised at some of the rates.
We are in no way free-traders either.

Mark Levin alienated a bunch of people during the primary as well. He did not trust Trump as real Conservative, and projected that he would turn out to be a RINO if elected.
Levin has really turned around on that, and admitted many times that the he was wrong about Trump, and that Trump has turned out to be a hugely successful Conservative.
Levin is super on Legal, Constitutional and Government bureaucracy topics - but he needs some learning on economics and especially trade. He takes a theoretical (ivory tower) free trade position, but he his naive about the practice of trade.
He needs to learn how countries and companies deliberately dump and undercut their competitors in the short term, to take the business away in the long term. With the businesses go the jobs, the taxes, the long term income stream of profits for new investment or research, the whole supporting supply chain, and the industrial base to support the military strength of the nation.

We have the lowest average tariff rates in the world with on a few exceptions. So you are liar. The USA collects around 2% on goods and services imported into the USA. One of the lowest effective rates in the world.
