Mitt Romney is mapping out plans to become a major player in the Senate — positioning himself to be the spokesman of a listless Republican Party establishment that’s been steamrolled by President Donald Trump.

The failed presidential candidate turned Utah Senate hopeful has made it clear to senior party officials that he intends to make a splash with his all-but-certain arrival on Capitol Hill next year, according to nearly a dozen senators, major party donors and confidants who’ve spoken with him.

I think there are fifty other Senators that probably want to be the leader too.

But Romney is at a disadvantage.
His dad wasn’t a mailman.

No, Romney wasn’t pushed out he suddenly left in Feb and gave a campaign speech before he went...we knew he would be back in 2012...

Romney cut the throat of any Conservatives who were running that year...

He was the one doing the pushing...

It’s funny, but when conservatives get ticked off we are hounded to prevent forming a “conservative wing”.

The GOP needs to abandon the swamp and think about what Trump is doing for America. If they care at all

Here I was thinking we needed Nuremberg-style treason trials for all the rinos and neverTrumpers that allowed and funded O’muslim’s fundamental transformation of America...

There has to be consequences or it just encourages globalist a-holes like Mitt Romney to continue this charade.

Where is he going to lead it? Into the arms of Schumer?

Is he going to do not much more or less than McConnell?

i just can’t see the Hope and Change he thinks he is bringing beyond spewing more TDS than we already get out of the Senate everyday.

The Cheap Labor Express doesn’t need any more stooges in the Senate. Flake, Corker, Hatch, Heller, Alexander, Graham, McCain, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Hyde-Smith, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Ernst, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Thune, Gaines, Barasso and Enzi are all Bush League Republicans hell bent on making America into North Mexico

So 33 of the current 51 Republican senators (55%) are working to subvert immigration enforcement. And that's before adding in the Democrats. No wonder we can't the wall built, the DACA scum deported, the border sealed, etc. etc. The uni-party on display.

The only place they are still “established” is the senate, and that will gradually change with each election. Romney will lead nothing.

Well, Romney would be good for Nevertrump quotes to the MSM, which they would dutifully print.

But I have seen zero evidence that Romney has ever been an effective political leader. Plus, he has to get elected. He is good at pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.

After this election, that’s a damn small wing. Flakey, Corckscrewed, likely McTurd all gone.

The rest want to win rather than virtue signal.

Congressman Duncan Hunter
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He was the guy who should have been the nominee.
The Bush League Republicans got Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee into he race as blockers for McCain so we would end up with McAmnesty.
