It seems too good to be true: Companies that pay big but let you never commute to the office again. But there are work-from-home jobs that pay six figures and let you work wherever you want.
The site Remote.co, which lists work-from-home job openings, rounded up seven positions that had active job listings as of May 29, and offer salaries of $100,000 or more, according to PayScale data. (Sometimes companies calculate pay based on where you live, to balance out with the cost of living, while others pay based on their main office location.) All of the positions are high level and in fields with high demand, like technology and healthcare, and allow employees to work from home 100 percent of the time.
Here are the jobs that pay big and offer major flexibility, so start polishing up that resume:
1. Chief Marketing Officer
OnTheGoSystems is hiring a Chief Marketing Officer for its company, and the person they hire will oversee a team of three different people. Ideal candidates would have a bachelors degree in marketing or communications, plus experience as a VP or director of marketing and some technical chops. Chief Marketing Officer positions can pay up to $255,742, according to PayScale.
2. Director, Pharmacy Financial Plan and Analysis
Molina Healthcare is looking for candidates who can lead the development of financial budgets for the pharmacy area, and support the Head of Pharmacy in strategy and resource management. Ideal candidates would have eight or more years of experience, and an MBA couldnt hurt. Candidates with similar titles make up to $172,860, PayScale calculates....

I work from home. Love it. When I am doing a webex, I wear my button down shirt and tie and for pants I wear gym shorts.
Work From Home
Id look at one of these jobs but I kind of shy away from any job description with the word work in it.
“Hello, this is Peggy.”
I’m almost retired.
I buy and sell tank cars of heavy oil products from my home office.
Presently doing 4 to 5 cars per month.
After 25 years in the business was able to work from home in San Diego for an insurance firm, had plans to retire at 62 not now, living life like in a resort. Work is easy without the co-workers gossip and intra-office crap, don’t miss it a bit.
I don’t get to work from home very often, but I can wear jeans and a t-shirt to work. When I do a webex, I just post a photo of myself in more formal attire. Initially, I was annoyed by the number of webex and Skype meetings I had to attend. But the upside is they allow you to get credit for attending these meetings and still do your work with just the audio on. Love it!
Working at home never appealed to me. In my current job, I can work from anywhere but I prefer to be with my co-workers and clients. When I put on jeans and a T-shirt, I’m no longer in a “work mood” - I just want to crack a beer and put something on the barbecue. When I do work at home, I end up working even longer hours! Last Friday I decided to work at home to ease into a nice long Memorial Day weekend and my wife had to tap me on the shoulder and tell me it was close to 7PM! Had I been in the office, I’d have been home already!
My sister works at home as a legal scopist. I plan to do the same when I retire in a few years...or maybe sooner!
$200,000 to stuff envelopes? Sign me up.
$100,000 for stuffing envelopes at home?
bump
One plausible explanation is that you send out advertisements in the envelopes. The advertisement says "Make money at home stuffing envelopes! For the secret enclose $10 and mail to this address …"
Operative word - could
Noticing all the jobs listed require experience and likely is a work your way up.
I don’t trust online jobs. Figure they mostly scams.
Ah, the envelope stuffing fraud of the ‘70s. Here’s how it worked. For example, you send the stated amount of money to the person who put the ad in the paper. That person then instructs you to do what they’re doing and to try to find as many suckers as possible and to instruct them to do the same.
Multi-Level Marketing what a joke.
A friend does medical office records - the offices are in S. MS and she recently moved to TN where she continues her work...hope they use a secure VPN connection and she doesn’t use her work computer for personal use....
