Sure, it’s the economy, stupid, but why was Brian Stelter interviewing a South African national who makes “jokes” that aren’t even funny on a low-rated basic cable outlet?

First we have Willie Brown of San Francisco, now we have Trevor Noah. Are they starting to see the light?

Dunno, but when the Blind Left stumbles over the truth that is plain to see, to them it is a great revelation.

Daily Show host said voters have miscalculated...

What does that mean? It is voters who put Trump in office.

Funny how just not being a socialist/communist now means you are far right.

I think people also underestimate how many people in America are willing to accept the adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America,

The "adverse effects" of the general discourse is that President Trump fights back. Of course we are willing to accept a president who finally fights back.

voters have miscalculated the rise of far-right politics

As usual, these pinhead elites have misjudged things. It's not "far-right politics" that has risen, it's more "far-left politics" that the public is rejecting. If anything, President Trump is bring the country back to the center-right, where we prospered best in the 20th Century.

The hyper-partisanship that has become the norm during the previous 2 or 3 administrations is unhealthy for all but the ultra-rich who can shield themselves from the crap and the ultra-poor who are the recipients of the largess from the middle class. Which, by the way, have been foisted on the middle class by the ultra-rich elites!

“The general discourse in America”. Is that where you guys called anyone who dared to disagree with you “nazi” and “facist” and “racist” and “sexist” and “homophobe” ? THAT general discourse? So, Trump is bringing down the discourse because he thins you’re a stupid ass and says so?

"...the rise of far right politics..."

No, it's just the rise of everyday, Normal Americans. I swear, even the political middle looks right-wing to the hard left.

Psst, don’t tell Trevor: being smeared as “far right” focuses the “laser” even more.

Very encouraging.

“I think people also underestimate how many people in America are willing to accept the adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America, versus the economy and how people actually feel in their daily lives.”

"adverse effects of Donald Trump"?

List them assholes.

Supporting the Bill of Rights and securing the borders is now considered “far right” politics?

Dear, delusional Trevor.

It’s his team that has lowered the level of discourse in the country, not the Trump people. So, having taken that faux issue off of the table, I would like to see Mr. Noah list all of the negative effects of the Trump presidency thus far.

However, comedy has served as Noah’s coping mechanism, and while he feels the current political environment has become frightening compared to what he called “a benign existence under Barack Obama,” he said humor can function as a good release for people.

A "benign existence" under Barack Obama? Seriously? "Benign" is NOT the word that comes to mind when I think about the horrific Obama years.

Trevor Noah is an idiot, and NOT funny. On election night 2016, Noah's brilliantly witty comment about Trump's victory was: "This is the first time I am officially sh!tting my pants."

What a laff riot!

I think many of these people have no idea how much the voters were surprised at the reaction of the left after the election.

It started out insane and progressed to a critical mass of lunacy...the riots, the demonstrations, the accusations, the abusive language and the media encouraging it all.

I have seen a few elections and have never seen such reaction. And the “right” side found something to be happy about, like the increasingly good things that were happening and more people wanted to join the happy people.
What is occurring is the most natural thing in the world.

“I think people also underestimate how many people in America are willing to accept the adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America, versus the economy and how people actually feel in their daily lives.”

Trevor Noah admonishishes his fellow liberals not to underestimate the Trump appeal, but then proceeds to make the same mistake himself.

He makes the mistake of assuming that everyone agrees that there are “adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America” - that need to be overlooked.
