Trevor Noah: ‘People Underestimate How Laser-Focused Trump and His Supporters Are’

While President Donald Trump‘s election left much of the country in shock, Trevor Noah says the public doesn’t realize just how influential he and his voting base have become.

In fact, Noah thinks we should be expecting a second Trump term.

Speaking to CNN’s Brian Stelter in an interview that aired Sunday, the Daily Show host said voters have miscalculated the rise of far-right politics and its potential to grow.

“I think people underestimate how laser-focused Trump and his supporters are,” he said, discussing the possibility of re-election. “I think people also underestimate how many people in America are willing to accept the adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America, versus the economy and how people actually feel in their daily lives.”(continued)

Sure, it’s the economy, stupid, but why was Brian Stelter interviewing a South African national who makes “jokes” that aren’t even funny on a low-rated basic cable outlet?

First we have Willie Brown of San Francisco, now we have Trevor Noah. Are they starting to see the light?

Dunno, but when the Blind Left stumbles over the truth that is plain to see, to them it is a great revelation.

Daily Show host said voters have miscalculated...

What does that mean? It is voters who put Trump in office.

I think people also underestimate how many people in America are willing to accept the adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America,

The "adverse effects" of the general discourse is that President Trump fights back. Of course we are willing to accept a president who finally fights back.

voters have miscalculated the rise of far-right politics

As usual, these pinhead elites have misjudged things. It's not "far-right politics" that has risen, it's more "far-left politics" that the public is rejecting. If anything, President Trump is bring the country back to the center-right, where we prospered best in the 20th Century.

The hyper-partisanship that has become the norm during the previous 2 or 3 administrations is unhealthy for all but the ultra-rich who can shield themselves from the crap and the ultra-poor who are the recipients of the largess from the middle class. Which, by the way, have been foisted on the middle class by the ultra-rich elites!

"...the rise of far right politics..."

No, it's just the rise of everyday, Normal Americans. I swear, even the political middle looks right-wing to the hard left.

Noah insulted us by "...many people in America are willing to accept the adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America..."

Noah is telling the world as long as we're getting rich we'll give up all the social progress that's been made. I know. The left and their vitriol and hate are really to blame but this asshat won't ever admit it.

Psst, don’t tell Trevor: being smeared as “far right” focuses the “laser” even more.

Very encouraging.

“I think people also underestimate how many people in America are willing to accept the adverse effects of Donald Trump as they pertain to the general discourse in America, versus the economy and how people actually feel in their daily lives.”

"adverse effects of Donald Trump"?

List them assholes.

I don’t consider liberals wetting themselves in frustration an “adverse effect.”

What does that mean? It is voters who put Trump in office.

Good question.

By "people" I think Trevor Noah meant his own viewers, or the media, or Manhattanites.

The article writer interpreted "people" to mean voters or the majority or everybody.

Hence the disconnect and possible confusion.

What Noah said isn't the worst thing anybody's ever said about President Trump and his supporters.

I don't suppose he likes Trump very much but he doesn't appear to hate him excessively either, and that's surprising from the outfit that gave Colbert, Bee and Wolf their starts.

Barack Hussein Obama and Mad Halfbright thought that the Constitution was too restrictive on government and a poor model for other nations.
