By voting no on the Pompeo nomination the vote would have been rescheduled to 11PM when Isakson returned. It would have been a waste of time as Pompeo WILL be SOS. Something tells me the rest of the Rats were ok with it because who wants to work late? That Dr. Suess character from Va. was the only one up in November which he'll probably win. On to the Senate where hopefully toe Rand Pauls and Flakes won't play their games.
“Present”?
The Empty Chair voted present on every vote but one when he “served” in the Illinois legislature.
COWARDLY!! He seems like a bum bass too!
Not possible, he’s a Democrat. And note that he didn’t support until the confirmation was already secured.
What does that mean?
Yeah. Surprising to see reasonable behavior from the Dems.
Sounds like Soetero except when it came to anything smelling like Marge Sanger.
We not only have a drive-by media, we have a drive-by audience. The only reason for that vote, waiting until 11 pm is not an option for elites.
Im still waiting for a smart pundit to explain fake news. Fake news = omission.
Fake news example:
Man shoots wife - fake news (man is murderer)
Man shoots wife as she held knife to sons throat - real news (man is hero)
CNN and MSNBC peddle fake news all day long especially in the banner which is designed for the drive-by audience.
Coons will vote no on the nomination. He’s in his 70’s. Work at midnight? Keene’s the name. Doesn’t cost him anything as he will be reelected. Our issue is Paul.
There is nothing of any benefit in this world related to Chris Coons. Even a momentary pause is a net sum loss if he is still breathing. He belongs in an Oldsmobile in a tidal estuary, buried in the muck, being picked clean to the bone by crabs.
But go ahead, ask me what I really think of the guy?
He is showing his yellow stripes. He knows he is voting on appointments who can and will arrange for his bones to be picked clean in a tidal estuary by hungry crabs. Even inside an Oldsmobile.
Born 1963.
The alliterative name, perhaps?
Tim Kaine? That’s not very alliterative.
These guys are losers.
Oh, sorry, I must have misunderstood the reference. I thought the poster was referring to Chris Coons.
I don’t think so. Chris Coons is from Delaware. Tim Kaine is the only senator from Virginia on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
But Tim Kaine is not a Dr. Seuss character, he is an alien, most likely a Klingon...
;-)
OK, found this on a search:
“RUSH: Tim Kaine Looks Like A Dr. Seuss Character ...”
Oct 7, 2016
Well, Rush is wrong on this one. Take my word for it - I’ve seen him up close. He is definitely not of this earth. The eyebrows and forehead say Klingon, but the ears are almost Vulcan-like. Of course, he might be the product of a mixed marriage...
