The substance used on Sergei Skripal was an agent called BZ, according to Swiss state Spiez lab, the Russian foreign minister said. The toxin was never produced in Russia, but was in service in the US, UK, and other NATO states.
Sergei Skripal, a former Russian double agent, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with an incapacitating toxin known as 3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate or BZ, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, citing the results of the examination conducted by a Swiss chemical lab that worked with the samples that London handed over to the Organisation for the Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
The Swiss center sent the results to the OPCW. However, the UN chemical watchdog limited itself only to confirming the formula of the substance used to poison the Skripals in its final report without mentioning anything about the other facts presented in the Swiss document, the Russian foreign minister added. He went on to say that Moscow would ask the OPCW about its decision to not include any other information provided by the Swiss in its report.
Lavrov said that the Swiss center that assessed the samples is actually the Spiez Laboratory. This facility is a Swiss state research center controlled by the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection and, ultimately, by the countrys defense minister. The lab is also an internationally recognized center of excellence in the field of the nuclear, biological, and chemical protection and is one of the five centers permanently authorized by the OPCW.
The Russian foreign minister said that London refused to answer dozens of very specific questions asked by Moscow about the Salisbury case, as well as to provide any substantial evidence that could shed light on the incident.

Almost makes more sense that we tried to kill this double agent. There is no certainty these days.
The problem with the KGB’s “made in the West” disinformation is that the toxin obviously came with Yulia Skripal from Russia.
She flew in to the UK from Russia, then the next day the nerve agent was found in her house where it killed her guinea pigs (suspicious to own in this case).
The nerve agent was on the outside of her house on her front door handle.
It was in her dad’s car.
Traces of the nerve agent were found in the shops she visited that next day.
More traces of it were found in the pub where she ate with her dad.
...and the nerve agent was found on the park bench where she and her dad simultaneously passed out.
Likewise, the first responding policeman to that park bench was also poisoned.
Well, you can believe both the Russians and the Brits who claim that some unknown assassin followed Yulia around all of the next day, planting the nerve agent everywhere yet never being noticed by shopkeepers and pub-goers, or...
...You can simply conclude that Yulia was carrying the nerve agent with her everywhere she went. And her container was leaking, obviously.
Well, she came in from Russia the day prior. Pretty good chance she brought the nerve agent with her.
And that blows the KGB story out of the water. The nerve agent didn’t come from the West. It came from Russia. With Yulia.
Likewise, the British story is also crap. There was no assassin. Yulia did this to herself. That’s why all of those British video cameras outside everywhere show no attacker.
Sounds plausible. Was a container found?
If true, then the leaking container theory seems plausible. Was she bringing it to her dad? Who were they doing this for? Was it going to be handed over to the Brits intelligence, or used to target someone?
If your story is true, then he wasn’t the target.
More Russian troll news.
People will believe what they want... Both sides do this.
Where it was produced has nothing to do with who used it. I’m sure someone got rich selling it to everyone who wanted it.
You sound like British “Intelligence”?
Russians are the King Of Whine
Soviet news outlets don’t have any credibility with normal people in the West.
No one ever got rich banking on the reliability of the Russians.
The first responding policeman was not poisoned.
A policeman dispatched to the Skipal home was allegedly poisoned, and like the daughter has fully recovered.
Very interesting article. At the risk of, once again, being accused of being a Russian troll, Id like to see the full Swiss report.
But if I were Putin, I would make sure to kill these people (fortunately they survived) with a chemical agent smuggled in from Britain or the U.S. so I could point the finger elsewhere. Would prove nothing.
Poisoned spy Sergei Skripals cat and two guinea pigs die after being sealed in home by police
Moscow had raised concerns over animals’ welfare earlier this week
If what Moscow says is true, then why does not the Swiss lab publicly produce its report itself, to clear any dispute about its findings. OR, is Moscow merely saying what IT SAYS in the report. Notice the RT makes no link anywhere to an independent copy of the report, from its Swiss sources.
But one guess is as good as another.
You have to admit, there is a certain reliability in being unreliable. heh
Makes as much sense as the Russians saying the British used poison gas in Syria.
Why is the RT network allowed to spew Russian propaganda in the United States?Do the Russians allow American news networks,That is other then CNN to Broacast in their country?Afterall CNN is a hip off of the old block and the Russians would just love them.
