Like the Challenger disaster or 9/11I will never forget where I was when I heard Katie Couric break the story that Dutch skaters were so proficient because of the proliferation of canals in their country,

I was here in Louisiana, rowing my pirogue down the bayou on my way to work.

Anybody else care to share where you were and what you were doing when you first heard the news?

Where were you, and what will you tell your grandchildren?
