Why is this teacher still in the classroom? Who thinks his behavior is okay? Why do parents allow these lousy teachers to treat students and their families with this disrespect? And how do parents address partisan teachers who ignore the subject matter
I’m just a Navy mom of a United States Naval Academy graduate who is currently a Navy special ops officer, and has had two long Middle East deployments. I wasn’t going to weigh in on the liberal California councilman and public school teacher who told his students “military are ‘dumbsh*ts” and “lowest of our low.” That is, until I read that the school district officials of Gregory Salcido, El Rancho High School history teacher and a current member of the Pico Rivera City Council, were covering for him, even after he said when speaking about our military, “They’re the frickin’ lowest of our low,” in one of three videos that surfaced last week.
My son’s USNA education was a scholarship, valued in 2007 at $300,000. Around 1,000 freshly minted plebe midshipmen receive this scholarship every year through The United States Naval Academy. The USNA’s ranking by U.S. News and World Report is #1 for the Top Public School, and # 2 by Forbes. Additionally, the United States Naval Academy’s ranking in the 2018 edition of Best Colleges is National Liberal Arts Colleges 21.

She needn’t brag about the USNA. One simply has to know that the smartest president evah - Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch quota boy - wouldn’t have made it through plebe year.
He’d have failed ALL STEM courses and PE as a min.
Of course, we can all chuckle imagining films of that wimpoid trying to make it through the first six weeks of plebe summer.
And I’d love to see this “educator” make it through the mandatory calculus, physics, chemistry, physiology, etc courses.
Obviously he believed there was zero chance that any of his students would have family members in the military.
Which was probably a good assumption on his part.

He started his rant in response to a student who was wearing a USMC t-shirt so probably not a good assumption.
In my senior year of high school, in between academics and high school team athletics, I held a part-time job at the neighborhood grocery store. In the spring of that scholastic year, I informed the store manager that come summer, i would be leaving for basic military training. In his lisp, he attempted to inform me that I was throwing my life away. I informed him that when I was 12 years old, I knew that the Vietnam War would not be over, and that I would be ‘over there doing something’ after high school. He put the back of his wrists on his hips, said, ‘Well!’, and walked away.
I have had in both junior and senior high school, teachers who were veterans, from both WW1 and WW2. My Economics teacher was an interrogator at Nuremburg. My history teachers in junior high school were at Chateau-Thierre and Belleau Woods. My English Literature teacher was a volunteer pilot during The British Blitz. My junior high mathematics teacher was a Marine of The Islands Campaign.
I feel bad for the kids that have a teacher ‘with a lisp’.

This teacher is so dense, he doesn’t realize California is home to a LOT of military.

Pull their citizenship and send them to North Korea, Russia, or red China to express their opinions. Not really they have 1st amendment rights. As defended by Our Military. I remember when higher education was suppose to expand your mind. These days they indoctrinate our youth against expanding their views and send them into the world wearing horse blinders.

Before your time my teachers were WW2 Vets, coach was navy gunners mate, principal P38 pilot, civics teacher a former Greek commando against the communist. Nearly all had served our nation, we pledged allegiance, read a bible verse and said the Lord’s Prayer every morning. We had two atheist in our class that never voiced concern or refused to participate.
