Was having an argument on Twitter last night regarding Dr. Bandy X. Lee from Yale and found out some data that you all may find useful.
First, who is Bandy X. Lee? She is the shrink who's made appearances since the inauguration of President Trump to accuse him of being crazy. She is the tip of the "25th Amendment" spear that is currently being thrust at him.
Typical of recent articles appearing in the media recently is this one from MSN:
A Yale University psychiatry professor told US lawmakers that she believes Donald Trump'smental health is "unravelling" in a presentation last month, it has emerged.
Dr Bandy X Lee, an expert on violence, claimed the President posed a "public health risk" by being in office when she met a group comprised of Democrats and one Republican in a series of private meetings.
Some researchers, such as FReeper tired&retired have noted that her license to practice medicine in Connecticut has expired. So why is she practicing psychiatry in the State of Connecticut?
This was the starting point for my little bit of research.
I decided to go to the website of Yale Hospital to see if she was practicing medicine there. Curiously, she wasn't on the list of clinicians at that facility:
Curious.
I then went to the website of Yale Medical School to see if she practiced there instead:
No dice there, either.
Of course, everybody has seen Bandy's profile on Yale. For some reason, I decided to drill down to see if I could find out if she taught courses or what. So looking at the List of faculty members showed she wasn't listed there either:
This is really strange. She clearly has a profile page on Yale Medical School, but she's not listed as a member of the faculty. What is going on here?
Doing some more digging, I finally found her.
She is identified on a list of "Voluntary Clinical Faculty."
What the heck is "Voluntary Clinical Faculty?"
Voluntary Ranks
Voluntary faculty are typically clinicians or others who are employed outside of the School but make significant contributions to department programs at the medical center or at affiliated institutions. Each department has established guidelines for the nature of required participation, such as the relative importance of teaching students, supervising residents, engaging in scholarly activity, participating in department administration, and other activities.
Voluntary faculty typically do not receive compensation or benefits from the School.
With the approval of the chair, voluntary clinical faculty may become principal investigators of grants. Voluntary faculty are expected to be board eligible, licensed, or certified in their specialties.(snip)
Assistant Clinical Professor
This rank is for persons who have made academic contributions documented in at least one of the following ways: (1) publication or other evidence of substantial contribution to their disciplines; (2) exemplary teaching; (3) well-recognized clinical expertise. Appointments are made for renewable terms of up to three years.
So, basically, it is an honorarium.
The part I regret about this is that some random FReeper has to put this crap together.
Excellent research, my friend. This needs to be all over Twitter, asap.
Bump
Typically...medical professionals with a license to practice....DON’T allow the license to expire. That’s your bread and butter. You can’t get a real job or get real pay....without the license. I would challenge anyone to explain how you can practice a medical profession without the license.
So, in this case...I might be asking did she really just allow it to expire, or was there some complaint or state board investigation going on...that it was a necessity to allow the license to fall.
If she is in this role as a voluntary assistant, then she’s doing it strictly have a resume-filler and waiting for something to occur before resuming the license.
What’s Brandy been doing for the past decade?
She's been a full time SJW.
BTW, she does have a license to practice in New York. But apparently she doesn't see patients any longer. Nor is she affiliated any longer with any hospitals.
Someone over at Twitter pointed out that she does not currently have a medical license ( expired in 2015).
This would mean that any media outlet that has referred to her as a Doctor or a Psychiatrist is guilty of publishing/broadcasting FAKE NEWS, since she is neither.
That part is fake news.
She is licensed in New York:
The Secret Service should be dispatched posthaste to question her. It is a national security matter. She undermines PDJT purposefully.
That part is fake news.
It cant be fake news if it was posted on Twitter, YouTube, 4chan or 8chan. /s
In as far as it goes, she doesn't have a license in CT. It did expire. But not having a license in CT is not the same thing as not having a license at all.
Sadly, nobody took it to the next level...they just said "Yale's got some 'splaining to do" and left it at that.
She is not listed in Massachusetts, where she claims
she was the chief resident at MGH, but those are
active licenses.
Not being licensed does not take away the degrees.
Breaching the Goldwater Rule is against professional ethics. A complaint should be filed against her.
She is licensed to practice in New York (#219444). Her registration expires 04/2018, and there are no complaints or disciplinary actions on file with the Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) in Albany.
If you are into doxxing (I am not) there are tons of details available on NYS professional regulation or official NYS “find a physician” websites.
“Voluntary clinical faculty” can mean one lecture a year, it can mean rounds seven days a week. It is a non-tenure track unpaid designation, there are at least 10 000 volunteer teachers so designated at US medical schools, in general, it is not as significant as a paid tenure track job, the usual adjective for which is “full time”.
That would suggest to me that she’s had some complaint filed against her or been under review. Full-time SJW work just doesn’t pay anything unless you run some foundation.
True, but I'd think the more pertinent thing would be to find out who located her and gave her the airtime last winter. Discover the connection between her and Deep State (as she isn't a practicing pshrink anyplace). The only other names she's connected with are winners like Phil Zimbardo, Judith Herman, and Robert Jay Lifton (you can Google them for yourself).
unless you run some foundation
Exactly.
Not interested in doxxing her. If I was, this wouldn't be the forum to do so (not enough of a footprint).
Having said that, I want to find out the connection between her and the Deep State. She only has one other book to her credit (on Amazon), Making Sense: Beauty, Creativity, and Healing (published in 2015 by Peter Lang Inc., International Academic Publishers.
The bio on that insert says: Bandy Lee (M.D.; M.Div.) is a violence studies specialist and painter. She currently teaches students representing prisoners and asylum seekers through Yale Law School as a faculty member of the School of Medicine. As a painter, her activities have spanned from co-founding the DDB Gallery in New York City, to exhibiting her own work in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
The point being that she is a nobody. So who dredged her up out of the depths of the swamp?
