Since Glock is a very popular handgun for law enforcement and gun hobbyist. These retired U.S. special ops have looked at and pushed the envelope on what it can do with a little modifications.
Larry Vicker of Vickers Tactical and company talking over some mods with the Glocks.
Here's a quick view of Glock mods from the 3 retired spec ops:
Any good mods for a Glock 21?
Fer cryin' out loud! why would any one take you seriously?
How would he know?
So basically they turn it into a Springfield XD.
Got it.
Thanks.

LOL! Thanks!
My pleasure.
I resisted buying combat Tupperware for a decade or so. Im a dyed in the wool 1911 guy. But I needed something I could conceal that packed the same .45 round. At the time that meant an XD compact.
To my utter shock I fell in love with it. So much so that when the single stack XDS became available I bought 2. One for me and one for Mrs. L. Theyre our go to EDC pistols.
Great little guns. Even better than Glock in my opinion.
Best,
L
Tritium sights are fine, different sights work better in different lighting conditions. But always iron sights. Never plastic. I can rack a slide single handed off my leather belt or kytec holster if its got iron sights. If they are plastic I probably just stripped the sight off the slide.
I am not a fan of laser sights, but that’s just me. They cost more, can have battery failure, and train you to focus on the target and not the front sight, which I think is a bad habit. But others may (probably will) disagree. I do think they can be a good training aid if appropriately used.
I almost never modify firearms. Glock is the exception. I like the gun and hate the sights. I replaced them with tritium and I love the night sights.
Trigger and night sights.
How is he wrong?
My sister-in-law got an S&W shield in .380 caliber with the laser sight and the first thing I told her was to practice shooting with the iron sights and she said why?
I answered if you are suddenly set upon by a goblin are you going to ask him to stop and wait while you turn your laser sight on? No, then I said don’t rely on it. At this point when she carries she doesn’t carry the Shield, she loves a little Bulgarian Makarov that her husband bought.
Gaston Glock says it was perfect by design. Modifying a Glock is a marketing game for the tacticool crowd and only will harm reliability overall.
Also put a tactical light on the rail for night security...
If you're in the lights, you're in my sights...!
I want to handle one of these. I like the DA/SA for EDC.

As if he wrote “Because gun.”

There may be something to what you say. Ever notice that you almost never heard about malfunctions in the Gen2 glocks (except the .40 kabooms)? When the gen 3 and gen 4 came out suddenly there all kinds of complaints about their reliability.
