Why is the US government funding UFO research?
americanthinker.com ^ | Robert Arvay

Posted on 12/26/2017 9:06:44 AM PST by RoosterRedux

A recent news item involving UFOs has caught the public’s attention. A Navy pilot’s gun camera shows an unknown aerial object above the ocean near San Diego. It was performing aerial maneuvers not known to be possible by any U.S. technology. The pilot’s description of the object included the sensational phrase, "I can tell you, I think it was not from this world."

The government’s interest in this sort of sighting is that there may be a national defense issue involved. If the reported objects are from a potentially hostile nation, let’s say China or Russia, then of course they are possibly involved in reconnaissance or other activity that endangers our national security. If the phenomenon emanates from a smaller country, say Luxembourg, the scientific benefits are potentially enormous. If they emanate from Iran or North Korea, we are in grave military peril.

However, that scenario seems unlikely. Any nation that possesses such advanced technology would already be in a position to extort vast concessions from the United States and other nations.

*snip*

There is one further impediment to making any sense of UFO reports, which is that there seems to be a set of logical contradictions to any theory of what UFOs might actually represent. The main logical fallacy is that observed UFO behaviors, if accurately reported, seem to be irrational. On the one hand, UFOs act as if they wish to avoid being seen -- while on the other hand, they do get seen, despite having technology that should put our most advanced stealth techniques to shame. These two mutually exclusive aspects are difficult, if not impossible, to reconcile.

I’m convinced the money is going elsewhere. Harassment suits or somebody’s pocket, maybe to overthrow Trump. This government is capable of anything.

Our tax dollars being transferred to a political crony of Harry Reid through a hidden black program... that is the sole reason why this money was spent

This is money wasted that could have been used to give new Obamaphones to the lazy poor.

Ducks sometimes see humans feeding them breadcrumbs at the park. Ducks often don't see the humans that blasted them out of the sky in order to eat them.

OMG - two different behaviors/motives can't possibly be exhibited by the same species! Humans must not exist.

Might be the extraterrestrial version of joyriding teenagers driving thru the countryside running over mailboxes.

“I don’t want to hear about you kids going near that third planet and bothering the locals.”

“*Sigh*, Yes Dad.”

From the article:

There logical conclusion from the (il)logical fallacy is that the UFO's are not what they pretend/seem to be.

Because history is riddled with examples of more advanced human civilizations coming into contact with less advanced human civilizations and wiping them out.

Because its real. Because even if there isn’t enough evidence for you, the first point is valid enough to ensure you at least craft some contingencies around the possibility or eventuality that Earth itself is visited by a more advanced civilization.

Lastly, because security IS ACTUALLY what we’ve chartered our government to worry about. Not abortion, drinking age, religion, education, land management, energy, health care - the common defense is actually enumerated.

In fact, its the second line of the Preamble to the Constitution.

Not trying to be hard here. I’m just saying that this is legitimate. Not everyone is evil all the time. The 2008 mess was a joint GOP-Democrat production.

There is a very, very big pile of evidence here from people who never, every asked to become a part of the discussion of UFO, ET’s et. al.

They need to hire me to do some of the questioning. The “investigators” (even a well-respected organization like mufon) do a piddly poor job of it.

Why is the US government funding UFO research?
Why is the US government funding NASA? We went to the moon almost half a century ago and that should have been the end of it.
Instead we got the Space Shuttle program - Thirty years of nothing that cost $196 billion and 14 dead astronauts.

Douglas Adams called them “teasers” in HHTTG.

Spoiled rich kids buzzing less developed civilizations.

I think behind all of this...ancient civilizations leave the guys at the time worrying because there’s too much evidence of advanced cultures existing on Earth.

A good example are the canals that can be found northeastern Namibia....as massive as Arizona and have been around for over 10,000 years. They need some kind of explanation and it can only point to visitations.

We probably got it because the majority of Americans support manned and unmanned missions. And because the majority have a sense of wonder about the universe and our place in it... or because navel gazing just seems so tacky.

Best a garage-band sort of operation working against a well-funded, government backed disinformation and smear team could do under the circumstances.

Dr. Stephen Greer has some very good stuff on You Tube.

I think we are getting close now to them saying, “Well, its time you should know.”

Lord knows nobody in the PacNW is going to fret much about the prospect that God might be a little green man. Godlessness is as ubiquitous and emblematic of the PacNW as evergreen trees.
