When they're not attempting to assassinate Republican lawmakers playing baseball or shooting their neighbors, Democrats with guns are doing equally terrifying things with the objects they claim to despise. Recently, Sean Nelson wrote a horrifying article in The Stranger about his experience getting a conceal carry permit. Nelson is strongly anti-gun and pro-gun control while appearing in print to be somewhat rational about it.
Both sides have a point.
Both cases are founded on coherent legal and moral principles.
Neither side shows any sign of being persuaded by the other.
Ad hominem attacks on gun owners also contribute to the cacophony, drowning out valid arguments for increased gun regulation with emotional calls to ban all guns or repeal the Second Amendment altogether
In order to understand the gun rights advocates, Nelson embarked on a journey to get trained and licensed as a concealed weapons carrier.

What liberals really hate is gun OWNERS, because they don’t march in lockstep with liberal dogma. They hate dissent more than anything, even guns.
I’m not going to paint all liberals with this brush. This dude clearly is missing a few of his marbles.
Guns are merely the means of resistance.

Yeah, when the first thing he does with it is put the barrel in his mouth...come to think of it, this issue could quickly resolve itself. The funny part is this moron is campaigning to keep guns out of the hands of idiots like himself.
The gun haters' side is not founded on any principles that are legal under the Constitution and moral only in the anything goes that we want morality Prog Morality.
I’ve read some dumb stuff in my day, but this ‘article’ comes close to taking the cake.
As early as the age of 6(45 years ago) I was taught never to point a gun at anything I did not wish to shoot. I have _NEVER_ intentionally pointed the barrel at myself. I may have accidentally swept the barrel across my foot or something while hunting and if I caught it, immediately correct the behavior.
This whackadoodle puts it in his mouth? He definitely should not have a gun and should be prosecuted for lying on the purchase forms. His carry license needs suspended immediately.

I thought the article was fine. The person about whom it was written is pretty dumb - and crazy.
Of course, my guns don't talk to me, and I don't feel "furtive" or "untrustworthy", nor do I feel "emboldened" or "vindicated", when I'm carrying one.

Some bright light wrote decades ago that the liberal push to ban guns was not about safety, but to punish conservative gun owners for being wrong-headed.
While she was obviously concerned about this one guy, what she suggested is far more disturbing: not that Democrats should not be allowed to own guns; but that mental illness is so common among Democrats that there is a reason that they, *as a rule*, should not be allowed to own guns.
Examine the warning signs:
Democrats lump people into groups, not seeing them as individuals. This makes it much easier to *dehumanize* their enemies. It is also a big part of both bigotry and prejudice.
Democrats vacillate in temperament between strong feelings of neurotic inferiority (often masked as neurotic superiority), wrathful anger and hatred, greed-avarice-covetousness, perverted lust, etc. The Seven Deadly Sins in a nutshell.
Perhaps they need an enhanced background check.
