Joe Scarborough has asserted that President Trump deployed a racist “dog whistle” when he recently criticized LaVar Ball.
Trump’s beef was that LaVar had refused to give the President any credit for arranging the release of Ball’s son LiAngelo, who along with two other UCLA basketball players had been arrested for shoplifting in China.

Joe Scarborough has asserted that President Trump deployed a racist “dog whistle” when he recently criticized LaVar Ball.
Trump’s beef was that LaVar had refused to give the President any credit for arranging the release of Ball’s son LiAngelo, who along with two other UCLA basketball players had been arrested for shoplifting in China.
According to Scarborough, on today’s Morning Joe:
“There’s racist overtures [sic–overtones?] here. Where the black man was not appreciative of what the white man did for him. And it’s a dog whistle, to say the least.”
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: When asked about Trump’s involvement last Friday by ESPN, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo ball, responded: “Who? What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.”
President Trump responded on Sunday, quote: “Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!”
This is our president of the United States of America. Trump followed that up hours later tweeting: “Shoplifting is a very big deal in China, as it should be (5-10 years in jail), but not to father LaVar. Should have gotten his son out during my next trip to China instead. China told them why they were being released. Very ungrateful!”

Trump got trolled and fell right into it. LaVar Ball is the media whore to end all media whores. Trump responding and complaining only feeds Ball’s massive ego.
LaVar was the one who brought race into it. He’s scum. Ignorant scum not knowing why Trump (Who dat?) was over there. And proves what a moron he is to not want to know why he was there. He should be thanking his lucky stars that Trump was there when sonny boy shoplifted at least stores or the little punk would have been spending the next 10 years in a Chinese jail. Trump should have left them to rot.
Never heard of these people before this incident so guess they aren’t as hot as they think. Here’s to daddy’s new Chinese stores go belly up.
