Johnnie Langendorff recounts capture of church shooter in Sutherland, Texas.

There was a gunfight. Johnnie saw the last of it. The defender asked Johnnie for help in following the shooter. Johnnie and the defender chased the shooter, the shooter eventually ran off the road. The community rifleman kept the shooter covered with his rifle. The church shooter did not move after that. The police showed up a few minutes later.

Please know that not all of we Californians think alike. In fact most of the territory of the state is dominated by Republicans, just like the recent national election. There are five concealed carry holders in my family alone including my two daughters. The answer is to eliminate gun free zones and to realize that gatherings of Americans are potential targets for terrorists.

... shooter dropped his gun while escaping and somebody picked it up. Possibly the same guy with Johnnie.

He dropped his gun when he was shot by the citizen who has not been named. That man asked Johnnie to chase the murderer. Johnnie was the driver and the passenger was the man who shot the church shooter.

...the other possibility is that the impact when the shooter’s vehicle left the road was fairly severe and that’s what killed him.

His SUV didn’t hit any obstacle or overturn. It was just sitting a few yards off the highway on a mown hay field.
